To WordPress: if you changed the location to be at the end of the post, I think most bloggers would be much happier as it would encourage more interaction!

The "leave a comment" button is at the top of each new blog post. I would like it to appear at the bottom or end of each blog post. As it is now, a follower reads a post and if they decide to comment, they have to scroll back up to the top of the post to click "leave a comment" and then a comment box opens at the end of the post. How can I move the "leave a comment" button to the end of my posts?

2) Timethief linked to the relevant Support doc: you probably didn't read it carefully enough. The changes you make in Settings > Discussion become your new defaults, i.e. they apply to posts/pages you create after you've made those changes: they don't apply to already published posts/pages. To disable commenting on an already published page such as the one you linked to, go to Pages > All Pages, hover over the page title, click Quick Edit, uncheck the option " Allow Comments", click Update.

I've read elsewhere (http://wordpress.org/support/topic/leave-a-comment-link-wont-disappear) that this is a glitch with WordPress that needs to be corrected through the PHP file, but I don't know how to access and change that, so I am hoping to find a CSS solution.

Comments on all pages and posts on every WordPress blog are enabled by default so that means you disabled them on the posts you refer to.

All existing published posts and pages will have to have the comments turned off individually, but you can use the post bulk edit and page bulk edit features to do that on multiple posts and pages at one time.

This will hide the "leave a comment link to the left of the page content.

If you do not want to mess with doing the settings > discussion and the bulk edit thing, add this also to the CSS edit window to hide the comment stuff at the bottom of the pages.

Unless we use the P2 theme which is a Twitter-like theme, the front pages of our blogs showcase content and comments are collapsed on that page. The way the comments function is coded into the core of WordPress. By clicking the post title or the comments link the posts on the front page open on their own page where all comments display.

In a new blog one does not have many posts or comments. In an established blog if the comments did not collapse on the front page it would become a mile long in no time flat and page loading time is a page ranking factor. We have only seconds before visitors refuse to wait and click out.
