I'm new to this, so maybe there's something I'm missing. I've tried checking and unchecking all the boxes and blah blah blah.

Here is an example that will move the 'Leave a reply' or '# Replies' link to the bottom of posts in the Twenty Twelve theme in case it's useful to anyone who doesn't mind moving the link instead of creating a new one:

Hi there, unfortunately it's not possible to remove "leave a comment" since that particular element in this theme doesn't have a class or ID that can be targetted through CSS to hidden.

Also, is there a way to remove the post footer text and links
