I am a newbie at WordPress. I am editing the appearance of the site for a client at http://www.nonprofit-consultants.org/wordpress/. I tried to edit the footer in the Editor. Bad things have happened. Is there a way you can help me reset the footer to the standard code? I am also a code newbie. So appreciate your assistance!

Hi! I purchased the Linen theme for my wordpress.com site in June. I've recently started using .org and was wondering if there is a way to transfer the Linen theme to my new site without having to purchase it again. I will end up deleting the .com site so I hate for that purchase to go to waste.

It seems you may have resolved this because I see an active slider that makes me dizzy when I watch it. However, if you still need help note that the Linen theme is a premium theme and we Volunteers answering questions on this forum have no knowledge of how they are designed to operate. When you purchased your premium theme what came with that purchase was support directly from the theme designer in the Premium Theme Support Forum. There is a link for the specific Premium Theme support forum under Appearance -> Themes in your blog’s Dashboard

Thanks so much for your help on centering, it definitely helped!!!
As for the colors, I couldn't agree more that they're horrific. Unfortunately, someone else chose them and after trying to convince them otherwise, this is what they selected. I'll try and sneak this blue in with the change, but will likely have to change it back.

Do you also know how to make this navigation bar in bold on in caps? I tried messing with the fonts, but since it's the same as the body it changed everything. Is there a way you know to only bold the Nav menu?

To center the menu items in the Linen theme and to try to tighten up the spacing a little, try replacing this:

#navigation {
background-color: aliceblue;
margin-left:auto;
margin-right:auto;
padding: 0;
}
.nav {
text-align: center;
}
.nav li {
margin: 0;
display: inline-block;
float:none;
}
.nav a {
padding: 10px;
}

This may also just be my personal preference, but I'd suggest experimenting a little more with the menu background color. You might use "aliceblue" like I used in the example above instead of "#3AAACF". Or you might use another color from http://www.w3.org/TR/css3-color/#svg-color

Hi there, I used the linen theme as a starting point for this blog. I created 3 text widgets which seem to be working fine on the home page. Once I click on a post, the detail post page doesn't show them: navigation, phone number and social icons are gone. What am I missing? All 3 are located in the "sidebar" and then moved up using absolute positioning. I tried adding an overflow:visible to the sidebar, but that didn't work.

I am SO sorry for posting this again, but I posted last week and still have not receive any help:/ I don't mean to be annoying, but if someone could please help I would be extremely grateful.

I would like for my page names in the navigation bar to be centered and for the it all to be in CAPS. It was originally centered thanks go some help I got, but now the CSS page won't hold the command and it won't stay centered. I tried plugging in /* Center navigation */ and it didn't work... I'm really not sure what to do! This is what it currently says on my stylesheet:

background-color:#3AAACF;
width:734px;
margin-left:auto;
margin-right:auto;
padding:0 83px;
}

This part of the code should get saved without any trouble:

I checked your Appearance → Custom Design → CSS page, and I see that you were able to save the CSS code you mentioned. If you're still having any trouble, can you please post back with more information?

hi there,
i was given help to center my navigation menu through css, but now it no longer works. when i hit save, the command deletes!

this is what i'm using, but it won't seem to stay. i have two other commands, and those are still there, so i don't understand what's happening... help please!!

also, is there a way to capitalize the page names in the navigation bar? or at least make them bold?
