YAY!!! It worked! Simple as can be, too! Thank you so much for the help!

One slight issue is the text box with the icons overlaps the Search box but I can live with that until I figure out how to resize the box.

Awesome!

You can create one yourself, but as soon as you try you'll see the difficulty: the buttons, in order to fit, have to be so small they're difficult to click on.

Some themes have social media buttons built in to the design, usually across the header. The theme search filter should be able to help you find them.

I'm sure this subject has been broached before but are there any plans to include a multiple social media button widget so that all links can be lined up horizontally?

Thanks for any consideration and if this question has been asked and answered, I apologize in advance. I couldn't find it via a search.

Hey guys, I am new to the blogging world, so I am sorry if you have seen this question before. I have searched on here for it but I must not be wording it correctly b/c I couldn't find exactly what I am looking for.
Okay, I know that you can't just copy and paste any photos from the web that you want, but I need to know how to go about using them on my blog. My blog is about books so mainly I would be needing just pictures of the front of the books. I do not have every book I have read in my possession for me to take my own pictures. So, my questions are:
1- Where should I get my book images? (for free)
2- What is protocol for using images that are not mine?
3-How do I give credit to the source from my dashboard?
Thank you so much!

Yes thats what I have noticed from the website. Also I have grasphed the concept of how to add side widgets however I am still having a problem implementing social media icons onto the header. I have seen videos on youtube and they tell you to go on your pluggin feature however I do seem to have a tab that says pluggins is that on wordpress.org?

Yes it's more difficult to manage you own install. It means paying a web host but most of all it means you have to know what you are doing because if anything breaks you have to fix it yourself or hire someone to do it. There is no Staff support at WordPress.ORG. They don't provide hosting. They provide only free software and volunteers answer support forum questions.

.will I be able to customize my blog with social media widgets and side bar tabs seen here

You can do that without any upgrade as I already stated above. The social networking icons are images.

Also as I said above nothing stated here changes if you purchase an upgrade > http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

I just read the information you sent . I see the changes for upgrades include more storage space, maybe more customization of fonts but nothing dealing with the information I specified earlier. Sounds like wordpress.org while is may be more difficult to comprehend it gives you more flexibility in the function of your blog.
