joiasdavida on "Jetpack stats lost"

Hi.
I was developing a new theme for my self-hosted wordpress locally on my machine. Later, when it was done, I installed the new theme online at my current domain http://joiasdavida.com and then, upgraded my old "Wordpress.com Stats" plugin to Jetpack.

When I did this, Jetpack started to count all the stats form scratch, and I thought that all my data (since 2008) was lost.
However, when I logged in to WordPress.com, I noticed the weirdest thing happened!

Somehow, Jetpack was able to track my local development version of the website, the one I have installed in my Mac with Xampp, and placed all my old stats in that account, and created another account for my REAL domain http://joiasdavida.com starting it from zeros.

HOW ON EARTH, was jetpack able to find my development version of the website. It's not connected to online wold in any way. Search Engines cannot find it, for it's a local version only!!! No computer can access the local site unless they are in the same network as me, How did Jetpack do this ???

I've read in the forums the Jetpack is domain based. Great So why did it grab all my stats from my real domain joiasdavida.com and placed them inside a new account for my development local domain that only resides in my machine ??
Shouldn't it create a new account for my development site and keep the all the old stats with the same domain joiasdavida.com??? Why all the data was ported over??

And what can I do to get this data back to the right account?
Please help me.

Hi there,

I recently set up WordPress on my Ubuntu 12.04 LTS desktop, I have it running on a LAMP server without issues OFFLINE but when I give out the address, http://doesgod.servebeer.com it doesn't display correctly and I'm not sure how to change it?? I've found numerous posts relating to changing the Media Settings which I've done.

Store uploads in this folder is set to wp-content/uploads

Full URL Path to FIles is blank, but I've tried setting it as http://doesgod.servebeer.com/wp-content/uploads and that changed nothing.

I'm using no-ip to keep my IP address up to date, but I get the feeling it has something to do with some files appearing on my computer as 'localhost' rather than the actual web address. On my internal network I'm the only person who can access the site without any flaws whatsoever. I can access from another computer on the network that will show the website ALMOST perfectly except doesn't load any files that appear in the 'wp-content/uploads' folder. Example being my entire site loaded fine minus the background header I'd made. That leads me to think there is still quite a bit of 'localhost' stuff in .php files, and maybe some files giving my internal IP. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

I am developing my website usibg WP on my local host for uploading later using MAMP. The other day for no apparent reason my WordPress site has developed a glitch? I can write pages and publish them. But only the page heading publishes - the content on the page doesn’t publish. The new pages that I write don’t show any content (even though there is content in the control panel). They also do not have the black control strip at the top for some reason?

I can add content to the original pages that I have written?

Has anyone any suggestions or views on this? I am using MAMP and the MySQL and APACHE SERVERS show a green light so they should be working ok? Could it be a database issue – or is it something more obvious?

If it helps - I'm using a template called Purity.

Thanks guys.

Hey,
I m trying WordPress on my pc. I installed correctly, after that when I imported some posts from another WordPress blog, I thought to change the permalink to "month and name" from default.
After I changed and I m trying to access the post by clicking it. Then I receive following error

Title: 404 Not Found

Not Found

The requested URL /2011/04/name-of-my-post/ was not found on this server.

Someone please tell me what is wrong...
