Well, it's not like the gd.wordpress.com pages don't work but the point is that if there's a translation in the po it should appear in the interface :)

Other languages might be affected too if it's a system issue, it's hard to tell with the po file being one large file and without many obvious clues as to what goes where.

Not sure I understand - if I'm logged in and go to that page I obviously get a different page? Anyway, I had a look, I don't see an "About us" link at the bottom of that page, English or Gaelic. I also looked at en.wordpress.com/#!/settings/ and I can't see it there either.

What happens when you log into WordPress.com? The 'about us' link can be found at the footer of http://gd.wordpress.com/#!/settings/

Looks like the right string. It's not a cache problem, I already tried clearing my cache and tried 7 different browsers, it's the same in all, no matter what I do to the cache.

It seems to be translated and deployed already. Can you please try clearing out your cache?

Thanks to both of you but the problem is still there. I've uploaded a screenshot. If you look at the top line, some of it is in Gaelic, some isn't. For example "About us" (exactly like that) appears only once in the .po file I work on (line 85233) and that has been translated. I don't think there a placeholder in it (like A&bout) which would disrupt the search.

Something else, sort of is and isn't relevant to here. When I get notified of a response, the backlink is wrong (at least the way the email is received by Thunderbird) - the url contains a double period i.e. http://en.forums..wordpress.com/topic - maybe if you could tell the right folk to look into fixing that?

I'm certain that I've translated the items for the items across the top on the showcase but I'm at a loss as to why only some of them are appearing in Gaelic and some aren't. Sign In and Themese appears localized but the others don't and I'm fairly sure it's not because they're missing. Is it possible the translations are stuck somewhere?

I checked http://onovog.si/ and I'm not sure exactly what you are referring to. I don't see any text that says "Home" so perhaps you already fixed this on your own. If you still need help, please reply back here and mark this thread as "not resolved."

I don't help with CSS editing. When you purchase that upgrade you purchased Staff support.

Thank you, but this Home link is really not part of the Menu. I did set up a custom menu. You can see it on the home page, here:

But then on the posts pages and on the pages this Home link shows up, as I guess this is part of the CSS of these theme. I would like to change the name of this Home link to my language (in that case, I would like to use the word: Domov)

If you know how to solve this, please help me. Thank you.

I'm using the Columnist theme and would like to change the Home link on post and other pages to my language. For example see here (upper right corner:

@akerbeltzalba: a fix was implemented giving text a bit more space, so now it should flow better and not appear on 3 lines. Feel free to double-check, and thanks again for your report! :)

1) If your translation is significantly longer than the English original, as it is in this example, you will see that it won't fit into the space designed. In most cases, we suggest that the translation be revised, e.g. abbreviated or shortened in another way.

This is because the space allocated for messages is designed to have a certain width which does not change as the length of the translated string changes – which would have been ideal from the localization point of view. However, this is the way the interface has been designed at the moment.

2) Could you please specify where you see text across three lines? I am not able to find it. A screenshot would help. Here is what I see in my Safari browser, for example:

I'm getting some odd text flow problems.

The first is on http://gd.wordpress.com/#!/read/ where "Blogs I'm following" is running into "Edit list".

The second is on http://gd.wordpress.com/#!/fresh/ where the "Top Posts" breaks across three lines, pushing the stats out of the cell below. The Gaelic is a bit wordier than the English here but to me the box looks big enough to get it on to 2 lines. Unfortunately, there is no shorter way of putting that.

@akerbeltzalba: hi, this has been updated a couple of days ago and now you should be able to browse the main screen in whatever language you choose from the dropdown. The top admin bar will remain in the language that you have set under User > Personal Settings. Please let us know if it's not working as expected - thanks again for reporting this!

Additonal info: I've just tried a few more things. I happens irrespective of which stats page I look at (I have a Gaelic content blog and an English content blog), when I click to Leugh blogaichean (Read Blogs), I end up back on the English page. Also, none of the other tabs are affected i.e. if I go from Mo bhlogaichean (My Blogs) to Leugh blogaichean (Read blogs) for example, I remain within gd.wordpress.com - it seems that only the Stats page causes this.
