I cannot log into my wordpress site on firefox (14.01), and I can on IE. This has been a recurring problem for me. So it's not just simply a matter of rebooting. I will get the following error message:

ERROR: The solution of task you submitted was incorrect. Please read the instruction and try again.

I have no touble logging in on IE.

??? Of course! I've tried my email and username...again the issue is NOT with the account its not being able to log in using the iPad or smartphone. Have the apps on both devices yet wont let me access my account.
Have no issues using the PC which I am on now.

I posted this question over a month ago, followed the instructions and post the same question under ios forum...a rep then referred me BACK to this forum.

I still cannot log in with the iPad or from my Android phone, using the WordPress app or going directly to the browser.

The last forum was closed yet my issues has NOT been resolved:

for some reason I am having issues on the iPad yet can easily access my blog on another laptop. Noticed it after I tried to attach a picture to a blog and schedule the post on the iPad. Hours later I was not able to upload the post or log in. I have deleted the wordpress app from the iPad and re installed, still cannot log in. Checked for updates, it says version 2.9.6. Am I missing an update? Not sure if its something I did...

The blog I need help with is eyedeux.wordpress.com.

please any on help me just this evening, i was try to write some article and the make a post and as i was about to log in into my blog admin panel. This is what it tells me:

and i even went ahead to put in my username and password to see if it will respond but it didn't it just tells me warning please help. does that mean that my site is gone? pls help my e-mail is [email redacted]

I had made some changes to the appearance of my blog and now the log in button is missing. The only way I can log in to my blog is by going to my email in which someone commented and I need to approve. Then when I hit approve it asks me to log in. But if I just go to my blog, there is no way for me to log in... any thoughts?

Well, you might have two different accounts here, but I don't seem much of a connection between the two.

Do you have maybe a self-hosted WordPress(.org) blog that uses mickf? If so, that would explain why you can't login with that here, as WordPress.com and WordPress.org are entirely separate: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

I am currently able to log in fine to my blogs. No problem there.

Today I visited a friend's blog, and when I tried to add a comment there I was asked to log in via WordPress. But my usual ID/password was not accepted. So after several attempts, out of frustration I clicked "Lost your password?". A few minutes later a message arrives in my email box, to enable me to reset my password.

BUT - this message shows a different ID (let's say my usual ID is "mickf", and this message shows "mickfraser123"). Why would a message come to MY mailbox with a different ID?

Anyway, I click the Reset Password link in the message, which takes me to a log-in page showing this new ID. I re-enter my usual password and it is accepted.

So the situation now is that I can still login to my blogs in the old way. But to log in via WordPress from my friend's blog, or directly from wordpress.com, I have to use this new ID plus my old password.

How can I kill off "mickfraser123" and reinstate "mickf" for ALL my WordPress activities?

Thanks for any advice (the WP suppport team is away till August 15).

Well hello there..I like the blog, but mostly because it has so much of cricket and I'm incorrigible cricket-loving-Indian too. (That World-cup trophy still brings smile doesn't it?)

That happens when people have made a sticky post; specifically, making more than one will mess things up badly. Edit the top few posts on the page to ensure they're un-sticky. If it's not that, has someone perhaps been editing the dates?

hi folks. thanks so much for your replies. we finally figured this out. but we have notivied that our site is very slow. we have tried to limit the # of posts to 10. but it seems as though the posts are not sorting in the right order, from most recent on "down". can anyone shed light on this for us?

If any Sidebar Widgets disappeared after the theme switch they should be available at Appearance → Widgets in the Inactive Widgets pane. If they're not, or if you need help setting up any of your widgets again, let us know and we'll do what we can to help you out.
