HOla, antes que nada les mando un cordial saludo, llevo poco tiempo en esto del blog y me parece muy interesante he aprendido muchas cosas, pequeñas talves, pero muchas, y les agradezco todo ello, por el tiempo de sus publicaciones y la buena intencion de ayudar. muchas gracias¡¡¡

Ahora mi pregunta ¿como puedo crear un login para mi blog, pero para usuarios que no esten registrados en worpress, ya que no es tan sencillo que los usuarios se quieren registrar y hacer un blog para poder entrar a otro blog, no se si me explico, pero me gustaria si es que se puede, ya que los usuarios que logeen en mi blogs tambien quisiera qu etvieran permisos para publicar, bueno no se si he sido claro y lo ma simportante si es que e sposible hacerlo

de ante mano muchisimas gracias, espero estar en wordpress mucho tiempo y seguir aprendiendo con ustedes y en algun tiempo retribuirles algo de algun tema.

Hi. You mentioned a Fantastico installation and version 3.0.1. Therefore, you have a self-hosted WordPress.ORG blog and are in the wrong forum. Please ask your question on http://wordpress.org/support

I have another blog on my website that I have hosted. It was added via Fantastico and I have just upgraded to 3.0.1. since then when I log in I get either password not recognised or a 500 error telling me to contact the administrator, which is me.
When I use the forgot my password function it gives a link back to log in but doesn't give me a new password.

How can I get into the admin to sort this out? I went into the mysql database and copied the password there to put in to log in but that didn't work either.

Please help.

BTW, dashboard related issues are typically solved by logging out, clearing your browser cache and cookies and restarting your browser.

Sorry, you need to head over to http://wordpress.ORG/support/ as the supportbot suggests. That is where self-hosted wordpress blogs using the software from wordpress.ORG are supported.

These forums are for those hosted here on the wordpress.COM free hosting service and things here work differently.

You need to register with the blog in question - WordPress.ORG "blogs" are just blogs that use the WordPress.ORG software - the registration with WordPress.ORG, WordPress.COM and any self hosted blogs using WordPress.ORG software are all independent of each other.

Hi I'm trying to reply to a blog entry made with wordpress.org, which asked me to log in. I tried using my wordpress.com account which was invalid. There were no options of register on wordpress.org at all.

Are there anyways to reply without the need of my own web host?

I had a customize wordpress blog using Pro Photo Blog software that I purchased. It was up and running for a few weeks when I decided to switch my hosting company for my website. My previous hosting was canceled and my website rehosted.

My blog was then coming up with an error message. Now I can't even log in to my custom wordpress account. Have I lost everything? All my posts/comments etc? Help!!!

BTW the blog I m referring to is not the one I am writing this post under...like I said I can't even log in to the blog in question.

Does someone how to resolve this:
I signed up with a host (clook) and want start creating website through WP however when I login to (http://www.clook.co.uk/wp-login.php) and then i enter my username and password i use in WP but IT DOES NOT WORK.

Hi. I'm just wondering if there's an alternate way to log into my blog (as opposed to going to my blog page, and clicking Log In).

The reason I ask is that I'm going to be using a Stats plugin to monitor traffic, but am concerned that it'll count my own visits (which are frequent).

I understand that WordPress.Stats does not count logged in visitors, but I would think that it still registers the intial hit when I go to the page to then click on Log In (giving me 'false' visit readings, since they still include my first hit each visit).

Unless I'm misunderstanding it...

Can anyone fill me in on this? BTW, this is using the .org version of WordPress, but I'm assuming they both opperate the same, seeing as the Stats seem to be monitored using WordPress.com in both cases.

Hi Guys,

I will apologise in advance for asking this. The site that I have uploaded WordPress to is http://www.celebsqueeze.co.uk however it appears that I have made a complete dogs dinner of it.

I have no knowledge of what the file structure on a hosted server should be in order to display a webpage. There was a pre configured holding page and files that were on my hosted server when I installed wordpress. To cut a long story short, in order to get wordpress to display instead of the hosting company's holding page I deleted some files and now it looks like the pages are not formating properly.

Furthermore I cant log into the admin pages as after putting in my username and password I get a 404 error.

Currently all my server has on it is;

Folder (/)
Subfolder (Logfiles)
Subfolder (Public_html) <-- Contains all wordpress install.

I'm having problems trying to get into my admin panel or my account or my profile... I can't do it...

I have tryed resetting password but when I'm trying to log in with the new one it stacks and the browser ( I have tryed safari, firefox and opera) brings the message about a loop that will neve end.

I just want to delete this blog and I can't find a way to do it.

can anyone help me?
