Hi everyone, I need help on a friend's wordpress site. The website is http://www.leonellamedia.com. The site was operational then I believe I accidentally edited something in one of the site's theme .php editor files. Now all I get is a blank white page both there and on the admin login. I have zero access now and cannot fix it. Any help would be greatly appreciated to get this site up and running.

Hey,

So since last week I have been trying to access the login page for my site http://www.brotherswithnogame.com but keep getting the following white screen with this message.

"Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/brothers/public_html/wp-content/plugins/randomposts-widget/randomposts-widget.php:1) in /home/brothers/public_html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 881"

Seems like it's something to do with the 'random posts' plugin I recently installed. I'll gladly delete it but can't access the dashboard on my wordpress. Anybody know how I can rectify this?

Yes - however your options are limited here - you can password protect any Post or Page - but your visitors would need to enter the password for each different Post or Page they visited - sorry - no visitor tracking master sign-in

I would like to have a private page where someone can login to see my private gallery. HOw can I do this? Would I be able to add more pages to my private main page? Example:

Login private page gets you into open/intro private page.
Once in private page there is a gallery list to select which should take you to another private page...lets say gallery list 1 then another private page under main private page should etc.

Confusing? I hope not.

The "solved" widget page problem, with an improvised workaround using HTTPS instead of HTTP, has left several other problems open. I'd like to get some attention for this. I feel that instead of this workaround, WordPress should implement a more structural solution asap. If only because otherwise, new users will keep running into the same old broken widget page problem and lose a lot of time before finding the workaround.

Indications there are still unsolved structural problems:

(1) Since using the HTTPS workaround for the WordPress admin pages, all my browsers on all my devices flooding me with warning screens about non-matching WordPress certificates. This happens for example when from a post edit page I try to open a post preview page.
(2) Since using the HTTPS workaround, most WordPress admin pages work painstakingly slow. Just now (on my fast desktop PC with a fast DSL line) on my main Dashboard page clicking a menu item took a full eight seconds to get any reaction at all, and several more seconds for the new page to render completely.
(3) My WordPress login page works, but still looks very weird and messed-up (will post a screenshot if you need one). I guess this is because the HTTPS workaround works only after login, so it won't work for the login page itself.

I think all these things are related, and I want to (kindly) ask the WordPress people to find and install a real solution for all this, instead of the improvised HTTPS workaround. Thanks!

Today I installed a plugin (Yoast's SEO plugin) and it totally messed up my site - constant looping, redirecting in ways it shouldn't have been, etc - so I went to uninstall it... and couldn't. When I click plugins it prompts me to log in, and then when I do it sends me to my home page. If I click plugins again the same thing happens.

I backed up my wordpress site, deleted the install and the files through my cPanel file manager, reinstalled - and the problem still persists.

Anyone know a work around?

I am currently creating a wordpress based website that is being used to display products. The company that the site is being built for is a wholesale company, and as such they don't want people viewing the site that arn't logged in.

What I need to do is display a login page when a user first navigates to the URL. I don't want the user to be able to navigate away from the login page into the rest of the site unless they have logged in.

How can I do this with wordpress?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

To me the blog appears to be a sincere customer relations tool which are endorsed by Worddpress.com. My opinion is, however, not official.
