Unfortunately, it doesn't solve anyone's problem. This is what I'm trying to say: it's not just happening to you, it's happening to many of us and nobody here is really helping us apart from repeating the same mantra of logging in or changing password or whatever. Search on the forum for other threads here, you'll see what I mean. Good luck. Maybe you'll have better luck than the rest of us have had...

Sadly this is a change that wordpress.com made. There's a sticky post on it, here, that you should read:

http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/recent-update-to-commenting?replies=4

and you can do a search for 'comments' or 'commenting' or any variation of the same, in the forums here and you'll find plenty of stuff on it.

I use IE9 and Firefox11.

I have noticed that, when I am logged in, sometimes I come across blogs that are difficult to leave a comment on.

To wit: I prepare my comment, choose the appropriate URL (as I have two blogs), press the Leave Comment button, which then brings up a message asking me to log in to leave the comment. I look aghast and say to myself, but I am logged in! So, I then dutifully follow orders, put in my login details, which then brings me back to a now-empty comment box -- BAH!! I then proceed to make the comment again, etc and it just proceeds to go back to asking me to again login! LOL!

What's happening? Usually these blogs I'm trying to leave a comment on, already have comments.

PS: In Firefox cookies are enabled by default. 'Tho this commenting thing can be a problem too, sometimes.
In my IE9 browser for third-party cookies, I have added http://*.wordpress.com and https://*.wordpress.com to my Trusted Sites list, along with my own blogs' domains in their various forms.

e-commerce considerations aside, that is not possible at wordpress.com. You would have to self-host a site to be able to do that, and it would likely take some custom programing (PHP scripting) that would either have to be used directly in the page, or you would have to create a plugin to do it. The plugin route would be best since then the solution is entirely portable and won't get overwritten by theme upgrades (although you could create a "child" theme that would keep that from happening).

Lots of possibilities with a self-hosted site. Here though it would be a completely manual thing. Add a category, edit the page and add the stuff for the new category.

Hi there,

I have some questions...
I would like to create a website for selling wooden products.Three categories should be on the main page, there should be some text with them plus a grey button for reading more. (this would be simple just to code, but i would like to make it dynamic- if another category is inserted whole new category appears in main page.
Pressing one of the category button leads to sub-page where are some pictures and text.

Question is, what is the smartest way to do that?

waiting forward,

K.

I have installed wordpress on my host and set up the database with no problems. When i go to wp-admin to login to the control panel, it accepts my login and then reloads the login page with no errors. I tried changing the password and even reinstalling wordpress all together with no luck. My host tech says it looks like wordpress is not setting a session cookie in the browser.

I have tried with both ie9 and google chrome....

Any ideas?
