I had a saved draft an clicked to publish immediately. The browser crashed and I had to close the window without having a confirmation it went through. When I re-opened the browser and checked the website, not only did it not publish, but now I can't find it on my posts at all (not even as a draft). Is there a way I can recover it from somewhere?

The problem was more than likely the Draft on the iPad app. An attempt to auto-save the Draft possibly failed, and the next time it succeeded, it handily saved over the existing Published post with whatever it was trying to auto-save way back when.

Make sure that you're running version 3.5.2 of the app. It completely disables auto-save in the app, so this won't happen again.

Ok I have restored the post back from drafts and it has included the comments BUT it has posted it on 18 March date (the draft was dated 18 March).
Is there a way I can change the date as it now puts all the rest of my posts out of sync?
Do I just take it down and re-schedule the post? Can I do that?
So sorry for ridiculously stupid questions but I am actually THAT stupid.
Thank you for your help.

Thank you for all of your replies, I am checking it out now. The post is not in trash. But there is a previous draft of the post in 'all posts' in my dashboard from way back on 18 March but I had updated the draft again since then before publishing on 4 April.
No one else has access to edit anything.
I also wondered if it had been removed by WP due to content, but have read the other thread and it seems that this would have been highly unlikely. It is odd that it was published for 2 days then suddenly disappeared though.
In answer to 1tess, yes I wrote the post on the WP app on my iPad but actually published it from the dashboard on the usual standard website, for some reason the Wp app lets me 'update' but not actually publish. (Unless that is me being technically inept which is highly likely). Maybe that is the issue.
I will go and see if I can restore the draft version and report back.
Presumably the comments would not return with the post though?

I typed a post this morning and I know it was seen because someone liked it and commented on it. But, now when I try to find it, it either doesn't appear or most of the words are gone. When I look in my dashboard, it is there as a draft, but I edited it 3 times and saved it 3 times and tried to publish it 3 times. By the way, every time I go back, my edits did not save. What's going on?
