You can apply CSS to the mobile theme by going to Appearance → Custom Design → CSS and making sure the "Mobile-compatible" setting is set to "Yes."

Hi.. The reason it's not appearing on mobile now is that I had to remove the mobile theme completely in order for it to not appear. This changes the look somewhat when using a mobile device (not as well set as the mobile theme) but I'm happy with it for now. :)

.entry-tags, .photo-meta ul li.first {

By the way, there's no point using a word as a tag if you already use it as a category, plus doing so will lead to technical problems.

Thank you for the reply, however I still can't find the specific code for Nishita Theme to hide the tags under each post, and also the date stamp. I haven't upgraded to CSS yet, I wanted to try it first with the code to see if it works, but was not able to. I tried these in preview, but it didn't hide anything, just actually listed these visible, along with my posts. (maybe I put them in the wrong place at the end of my text?)

/* Hide post date */
.type-post header time,
.type-attachment header time {

Yes you can. It boggles my mind that anyone would hire someone else to follow the step by step tutorial created by Staff and linked to on the bottom of their Admin page here http://learn.wordpress.com to set up a free hosted WordPress.com blog but they do. More to the point, most of them and those they hire never read this entry and comprehend fully what's in it. http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ Please do that now.

More galling still is when someone is hired to set up a free hosted blog which we Volunteers can do in not time flat and then spends days here posting threads and pumping us Volunteers for answers to questions that are already in the tutorial and support documentation and gets paid for doing that. But it happens.

You cannot build or use your own custom theme built from scratch at WordPress.com.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/ftp-access/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/adding-new-themes/
You cannot upload plugins. http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/

The only themes we can use are those found here > Appearance > Themes
This is a multiuser blogging platform. All blogs wearing the same theme are using the same underlying template and we cannot access the underlying files and edit templates or themes. http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/editing-themes/

If you have CSS editing experience the upgrade will allow you to stylize the appearance of themes you find here > Appearance > Themes, but will not allow you to change the functionality, by editing the underlying template. It does not allow you to remove footer links to the theme designer or to WordPress.com. Also note that CSS is theme specific, so you cannot use the CSS stylesheets from other themes with the themes at WordPress.COM. http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/custom-css/

Hi Forum,

I've been thinking of starting a company that is going to make websites for other companies. The main key for the whole concept is that needs to be an easy-to-manage website and the WordPress-platform can't be more perfect for that.
But in the middle of these thoughts I realised that I need to make sure that I can start this company and use WordPress to build the websites and make money out of it, legally.

Technically, I wouldn't charge the customers for the WordPress-platform itself, which I understand would be illegal since it's not my product. It would be for the favor to build the website for them.

So therefore I need to find out if I can legally base my business on using the WordPress-platform. Hope someone can help me!

Best Regards,
Swazer

To add a larger header image than the one built into a theme, first you should create an image the size you want, upload it to your media library, and copy down the image URL.

Then add CSS to hide the existing image and set a background image on the HTML element one step above it. What CSS you add depends on the theme you use. The armyofcp.com and doritosarmy.com sites you mentioned are using the Digg 3 theme.

Here is an example of the CSS you could use to add a large header image to the Digg 3 theme:

#header-image img, #header-overlay img {
display: none;
}

#header {
display: block;
width: YOUR_IMAGE_WIDTH;
height: YOUR_IMAGE_HEIGHT;
background: url(YOUR_IMAGE_URL);
}

#pagetitle {
height: HEIGHT_ABOVE_SEARCHBOX;
}

Replace YOUR_IMAGE_WIDTH and YOUR_IMAGE_HEIGHT with your image width and height. Replace YOUR_IMAGE_URL with the one for the image you uploaded to your media library. Replace HEIGHT_ABOVE_SEARCHBOX with the space you'd like to see above the search box.

Also, our CSS forums are open to everyone! Building a community where everyone is welcome and has an opportunity to participate is the type of environment we'd like to project.

Hi! I read on the "Modularity Lite - make top menu left aligned" posting that there was a "CSS" way to left-align the top menu, but I don't have CSS (I don't think...) nor do I have any idea what the coding posted really means.

Is there another, EASIER way to left-align Modularity Lite's menu?

Thanks!

Si fue por eso, ¿entonces por qué aún siguen existiendo tantos sitios de esa temática? Para no extender demasiado esto, dejo un sitio de ejemplo:
