Also note that as the ads do not display to us when we are logged in, and as many use browsers with ad blockers when logged out, they may not realize they are there at all.

Or if not is there a way I can manage what ads appear? At the moment these are all singles and weight loss ads. The blog is a research blog for my current dissertation and would rather the ads were at least relevant or not there.

4. Search Function to look for a certain business listed on the website

Can someone please tell me if WordPress can offer all of some of these functions?

If you look up at the comment made prior to your own you will see that it's displayed on a silver background which differentiates comments made by unpaid Moderators Staff from comments made by members. In other words "allnoodles" is Staff and he has replied to you.
