I need help on my Milestone widget. As you can see on my homepage, you can only see the title "vår dag" , the countdown and what the countdown is for isn't visible.

Panos' countdown links are all much too flashy for me; animation is well outside my elderly arena.
The link to the forum discussion on the milestone widget seems to indicate that there is simply no solution: why is this acceptable?
Why does WordPress offer a widget that doesn't work?
Would you be good enough to pass on my question, please? - surely there must be a staff support response to a non-functional widget ...?

I use Google search because it's faster, more relevant and more comprehensive.

Ah, I see, timethief - thank-you. I always enter some terms into the search box before posting; but the problem is that one usually gets a bewilderingly large result that doesn't in the short term show what one seeks.

It should've clicked over today from 8 months to 7, but remains obdurately as it was.
Is it the widget?
Is it the theme in which the widget is set?
Is it me?

Hi,

I was wondering if one could edit the text content of the milestone widgets with html code to make it link to a webpage. For example, edit milestone title as "<a/ href=”http://www.lingalert.com“>LingAlert" to make it a link.

Is this impossible at all?

Is it possible to add image/FIG to milestone widget along with the count down. I tried putting a URL of the image [media from wordpress file]; it isn't rendering.

Do you know how I can make my gravatar smaller? In the Ari template, the pic is small and the writing floats around it so fits much more in. I tried the About.Me widget first but it didn't work..

Thanks skeptikonp. Really helpful. Rather annoying but I'll shift stuff around. Are most /all wordpress themes like that?

That's because the left sidebar is fixed, not scrolling. Press command minus (Mac) or control minus (PC) to zoom out and you'll see more of your widgets. Note that, if you don't zoom out, how much of the sidebar content you see depends on your screen resolution (I have a high-resolution screen, so I'm seeing the top two widgets plus the title of the "Follow" widget).
Anyway, the bottom line is you can only add a few short items to the left sidebar, for instance the ones you've added to your right sidebar.

My blog is not displaying the Primary Sidebar widgets in the Primary Sidebar in a customised Ari theme blog. The primary sidebar has a Gravatar profile, milestone countdown, follow blog button, twitter feed and RSS. However, only the gravatar is displaying on the primary sidebar. Ive tried to work out why this is happening to no avail. Please help. The secondary sidebar widgets are working well.

My milestone widget (on Twenty Ten) is showing 1 month to go when there are about 7 weeks to go. I want it to show countdown in days if not hours and minutes as well.

I need to count up how many days have passed after a date /event . Actually Milestone widget makes only countdown to a date and it's not showing any count if the date is in the past.

No it's not possible to embed this widget in posts or pages. It can only be used in sidebar and footer areas for widgets.

Currently you can't adjust the display to days with a configuration setting - the staff is aware the unwashed masses would like the ability to display days - but not yet.
