You cannot add HTML to CSS.

I would suggest using a text widget in which you can put HTML. You can learn more about creating links in text widgets in this support document.

Hi, I'm trying to add a hyperlink to my sidebar using CSS, but I am not sure exactly how. I am referring to the Sidebar on my home page that says "If you want to learn". I want to make the website I write about on the sidebar into a hyperlink that people can click on.

Here's the code I have so far:

Hi premiergroup1 -- good questions. The quick answer is "yes" to these customizations, using CSS in the Custom Design tool. It does require a bit of CSS skills, though, to get started. Hi, I got the Recent Stories title taken away, but I am in need of a lot of help with the demarcation in the sidebar. I want to know in general which CSS commands are useful in customizing elements of the sidebar on the home page.

Hi, for my website, I am trying to customize the home page sidebar with CSS.

First off, how do I remove "Recent Stories" from the side bar? It re-appeared and I don't know how to get it off.
Second, I would like to put some sort of demarcation in the middle of the sidebar, in order to put two separate lines of text. How is this possible with CSS?

Hi, I have a couple questions about capabilities with the Mimbo Pro theme. I have the Custom Design upgrade as well, so these questions relate to parts of Mimbo Pro that I don't know if I can customize.

1. If my website uses one of the default headers of the theme, is there a way to make the Body Text any bigger? I know how to make the Site Title bigger, but what about the text under it?
2. Is there any way to hide the date/#of comments/the other text that appears under a blog post in the image carousel? Essentially, I want to have the posts on the front page just show their title.
3. Can we employ different color fonts?

Hi - I'm setting up a new blog using the Mimbo Pro template. I have the order of post categories I want organised in the middle column. However, I can't figure out how to make the categories that appear directly under the header the same as those in the middle column. My understanding was that the categories under the header would correspond to the order in the middle column and for awhile that seemed to work. How do I fix this? Thanks.

This issue is actually with another one of my sites at funkatopia.com. I'm trying out the Mimbo theme (before I upgrade to the pro version to see if I like it) and the images aren't showing up on the home page or various category pages. They show up fine on the posts themselves however, just not the home page or categories.

I've tried a variety of things from uploading a new version of timthumb.php, setting the scripts folder to 777 and timthumb file to 777 as requested, and even had temporarily shut down the security plugins thinking that might be getting in the way.

So far, no luck. Anyone have any ideas?

I just want to delete them, cause I'm a book reviewer so I want to categorize my post by genre of the book. That will take up a lot of space so that's why I just want to use the drop window on the sidebar and delete the ones under the header. Plus also it is not allowing me to put pages up by the header. Which is another reason I want to delete them so I can use that for my pages.

Have you created a custom menu? If so go here > Appearance > Menus and in the top left module disable this:
__ Automatically add new top-level pages
then click "save menu"

Just purchase a template, it is posting the categories under the header on the navigation bar as well as on the site bar. How do I delete the ones posting under the header? I just want to use the drop window on the side bar. I read they can be deleted Help anyone.

I have just bought a premium theme and set up new pages, but they don't appear on the homepage. How do I do that? And then how do I create a new post in a particular page? This isn't as user friendly as my old free theme.

Mimbo Pro is a premium theme and your have been doing some CSS editing. We regular Volunteers have zero experience with premium themes and those of us who remain don't provide CSS editing support. I'm thinking you may fare better by posting to the premium themes forum than you will here.
