Timethief's reply is incorrect (she has copypasted a phrase of mine that addressed one issue and combined it with a code of mine that was designed for a different situation).

You have now deleted your test post, but if I understand correctly you want a column of images, with some accompanying text next to each image. If so, you insert each image at the beginning of its companion text (setting the image alignment to left), and add this code after each text:

<div style="clear: both;"></div>

I'm sorry if I keep asking stupid questions but is there no way to have a picture appear below another without filling the space beside it with text. I tried that code you posted and it just left me with a big "Text here" in the middle of the the post. I tried deleting the text and double tapping the space bar just to see if it would work but it did not.

Volunteers cannot view any post or page until it's published.

The alignment icons in the WordPress editor are for aligning text; they are not for aligning images. http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#alignment They are used to achieve wrapping text around images on either the right or left hand side, or to display an image that's centered without text on either side of it. If the text beside the images does not occupy the same amount of space that the image beside it does then the text wrapping will continue and the images and text that follow will have a staggered appearance.

Align-left means position left, with the rest of the content wrapping around the right side of the image.
Align-right means position right, with the rest of the content wrapping around the left side of the image.
Align-center means position center, with no wrap-around (= the rest of the content below the image).

To prevent the staggered effect what you do is insert the following snippet of code into the HTML editor after each image/text pair:

<p style="clear:both;">TEXT HERE</p>

Every theme has a maximum displayed image width http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/07/23/maximum-image-width/ so it's important to keep that in mind when posting multiple images side-by-side. If you want two images to be side by side on the same line start by setting the alignment of both images to left.

Hi guys,

My blog is publishing my posts, but I know they are not being viewed because I got this email from a feed that I signed upfor, that said my blog has gone offline. After some tinkering (i've been away awhile) I logged back in, and am able to publish, but for some reason, I dont know what happened between the publishing, and people viewing my posts... any ideas what I might of done? Or should check?

Thanks in advance,
Bobolouli
