Don't want all WP posts to be sent to one tumblr blog (as seems to be usual), but by clicking a button or ticking an option will allow you to choose which tumblr blog to post it on for each individual post on creation. Does anything exist that can accommodate this request at this time?

@insightfulcommentary - I've reset your feed and hopefully that will clear up the duplicates.

Going forward, every time you change a title or the published date on a published post, it will create a new item in your Reader feed as @timethief mentioned. Try to keep your revisions and date changes limited to your drafts to avoid this problem in the future.

I hope that clarifies things.

If anyone reading these words knows how to delete multiple revisions of a post on reader I would really appreciate knowing how to do that. At this point, trying to fix this, I will have 4 versions of one post published. It wasn't that good!

-----------------------

Thank you TT, your post was very helpful. I didn't even know that I was creating 404 page confusion. After reading your post I found my own "Page not found," "Apologies, but no entries were found," etc. out there.

I had turned publicize off and assumed that, since I was still playing and learning, that I wouldn't screw anything up. Wrong.

See here for why and keep in mind that it's Google that sends significant traffic to blogs not the WordPress.com topics pages. http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2011/08/05/avoid-creating-404-pages/

Thank you for helping me out, and so many others it seems.

Yes, I think that I've done all of the things you list. Do you think that these things created multiple copies of a post? Is there some reason not to do these things? I am teaching myself how to blog, are these blog sins? I'm happy to stop sinning and educate myself, but I'm not finding anything about this topic.

At the dashboard I do not see multiple versions of a post when I am at the dashboard.

In the reader I do see duplicates. Where are they -- can I find and delete these duplicates?

Thanks! for responding.

I don't see these duplicates unless I use the reader.

If I go to my blog, I see a list of each single post, with no duplicates. I have the opportunity to edit or delete posts. (I assume is what you meant?)

But when I go into the reader, in my smartphone app or laptop, there are duplicates and triplicates of posts listed. These posts seem to be different revisions of a single post, e.g. the pictures are different.

Maybe the WordPress app is creating these duplicates, I do use my smartphone to blog most of the time.

But how do I delete these duplicates, if they only show up in the reader?. Is there somewhere I can see and change the posts the reader is showing the world?

Many thanks,

You can delete multiples; we get that often when people post using the app, for some reason. If you post from the dashboard it doesn't seem to happen.

I would copy all the text, then go to Edit the multiples and delete them. That way if they all vanish or you delete one too many, you can just paste it in again.

I have been learning how to use the wordpress Reader in order to follow other people's blogs. To see how my blog posts look like in the reader I followed my own blog, which is helpful in re-designing my posts.

But to my dismay I found that my posts are listed multiple times, apparently with different timestamps. It appears if someone follows my blog they maybe getting spammed and seeing multiple copies of these posts.

I do not know how this could have come about, but these facts might help.
- because of the limitations of the Android app, I have to frequently save revisions. So there are many backed up revisions of any post.
- I move back and forth between that smart phone and my laptop so there is possible redundancy there.

I cannot find a place where I have see or control these duplicates.

Many thanks, I don't want to spam anyone, I hate it.

Hi there!

There's no way that you can set a different header for a page using the Fresh & Clean theme as far as I can tell.

There are themes that will show your featured image as the header on posts and pages if you choose to switch to another theme. Here's the current list of featured header image enabled themes:
http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/features/featured-image-header/

PLEASE NOTE - do not activate a theme unless you're 100% sure you don't want to use your current theme anymore as you won't be able to get the Fresh & Clean theme back if you switch.

I hope that helps!

I have a logo that I have altered slightly for the header of different pages. That way I can have a uniform look but have a unique feel for separate pages. Is there any way to use multiple headers? Thank you for your help!

My site has 4 administrators due to the nature of the of the blog. I am the only one that gets email notifications when someone posts a new blog or a comment. I need all of them to get these notifications . Is that possible? In settings it only allows for one email address (boo).
