I was hoping this would be an idea to allow the implementation of this feature since both "blog addresses" are registered by the same administrator (me, of course).

What is your end goal?

1) To redirect traffic from the current site to the existing site and 2) to use a custom domain name on the existing site as my final setup and/or 3) all for ".me", of course.

I agree. The worst part is, I even contacted support and it's an indefinite unavailability. What the hell? They don't know when it's going to be back up, and they don't give you any other explanation. It's absolutely ridiculous. Plus, they don't tell you that that option isn't available period, if you buy a registered domain.

However, I still want to buy a new domain. I go to "manage my blogs" and then I click "register another blog," which takes me to the page with "Get another WordPress.com blog in seconds" at the top.

Then I fill out the registration page, choosing example.com (not the free wordpress.com option) and click "Create Blog". This redirects me right back to the "Get another WordPress.com blog in seconds."

It's taking me in circles and really frustrating me! I just want to buy another domain now!

So basically I just threw away $25?

If I had known I couldn't change it, I would have cancelled it within 48 hours. Every time I tried changing my URL, it said that the option is currently not available. If it had been clear that I couldn't change my URL, I would have cancelled it instead of waiting around for the option to become available. I expect more when I pay for a service.

Registered domains, like example.com, can't be changed by law. They can only be canceled and refunded within 48 hours of purchase. This is all mentioned during the purchase.

There is only one dynamic page in a blog for posts and we cannot post to more than that one page. When you first get your blog that is the front page of the blog. If you do not want the posts to show on the front page, then you can create a static front page for your site, and also create a “blog” page for your posts to display on.
