Hello, I'd like to get a code to make my navigation links be at the top of my posts if possible. At the moment they are only at the bottom.

Specifically, I only want a link at the top of the post if it's a series of posts, so the reader can jump backward or forward in the series if needed, otherwise for regular posts, the nav links can stay at the bottom. Sorry if it's confusing.

Also, would like less white space at the bottom of my post. The area between the post and comments. Thank you in advance for your help.

That's because it's theme dependent. So you can simply switch to a different theme. See (partial) list here:

We cannot edit templates on free hosted WordPress.com blogs and very few themes display the breadcrumb links you refer to. I do not help with CSS editing but have tagged this thread so it gets moved to the CSS forum where you can get a definitive answer as to whether or not you can do what you want to do via purchasing an annually renewable custom design upgrade and doing CSS editing.

How do I change the next/previous buttons on the blog to the titles of the last and next blog? I have seen it in other blogs. Please forgive the newbie question...

Are you referring to items tabs in a custom menu? http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/ If so then yes you can add custom links to a custom menu. http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/#adding-custom-links

Navigation buttons in any blog direct to material in that same blog. Exactly which "navigation buttons" are you referring to?

I am wondering if there is any way to make one of my navigation buttons link directly to another website, rather than to the page and then me having to put the link to the outside website there?

If this can be done but only if I have a self-hosted blog with wordpress.org, I'd like to know.

If you are expecting to be able to click a button and change fonts throughout your blog then it’s not that easily done.

These are 3 ways to change fonts on wordpress.com blogs.

(1) Changing font families, colors and size in text in posts or pages either post by post or page by page by coding into the HTML editor. http://en.support.wordpress.com/editors/font-size-color/

(2) Changing font colors in text in posts or pages either post by post or page by page using the #4 icon (Select text color – change the text color) in Row 2 the Visual editor. http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#row-2

(3) Changing all font families, colors and sizes throughout the whole blog by purchasing an annually renewable Custom Design upgrade and using Typekit Fonts with Staff support. http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/

Note: A few themes do provide for changing font color in the Blog Title and/or optional Tagline and/or links. In the majority of themes font changes to font families, colors and size in the blog title, tagline, menu, post titles, page titles, categories and tags, widget headings, comments, and links cannot be done without CSS editing.

Troubleshooting
My Pages aren’t appearing!
They must be public pages – not private.
Public – The page will be visible to everyone.
Protected – The page is protected with a password you set. Only people who have the password can view a protected page.
Private – Pages are only visible to blog Editors and Administrators. Private pages are not visible in Blog Surfer, feeds, or in any search. A page can be private without being password protected.

thank you again. yes my custom menu is appearing, however, even after saving it, there are no pages listed in the page section.
I certainly appreciate your help, but I will most likely quickly frustrate you unintentionally. Is there a paid customer support telephone line I may obtain for word press?This just isn't as simple as other applicatiions I have used.

Troubleshooting
My Custom menu isn’t appearing!
Go to the custom menu page in the dashboard Appearance > Menus and in the “Theme Location” module on the upper left select your custom menu from the pulldown and then click “save”.

thanks you very much. I have selected the proper theme now, created a custom menu and saved it, however, when I go to the page portion of the menu screen, there are no items there. Strangely, they do show up in the page section of the dashboard menu so they have been created. Any idea how to fix this?

Hi, and thanks in advance for any guidance offered. I am a bit technically handicapped and cannot figure out why I cannot put links to a few of my pages at the top of my home page. Could this have something to do with my theme? I have assembled some pages and dont know how to offer access to them via the navigation bar at the top....only 2 appear, about and rss feed...

This will let you change things for the non-hover state. I've included font color, text-decoration, font size and weight. Any that you do not want to change, just leave out of your CSS.

navigation a:link, .navigation a:visited {
color: #888888;
text-decoration: none;
font-size: 100%;
font-weight: bold;
}

This will allow you to change the hover color (it will take on the other styles you declare above).

.navigation a:active, .navigation a:hover {
color: #FF4B33;
}

Hi all, I would like to have the "older posts" / "newer posts" links in the bottom of my blog a bit more eye-catching, because I found out, that many visitors just don't see them.
I use the "Twenty Ten" them and have the Custom Design upgrade. My blog is: http://agrarapps.com

So, it would be great, if you could let me know where in the CSS I can change the style (font size & colour) for these links.

I edit my work wordpress site and need to edit a page that has links embeded on the top that do not show in edit view.
How do I add/remove these links?

Also, the navigation bar that shows on the right hand side on all sub pages has static links. How do I add/remove those?
