When someone registers a username, but does not register the associated blog, then that blog is reserved for that username. Only that username can register that blog.

Could it be that someone at CBEUG registered that account back in Oct. 2011?

We provide support here only for free hosted WordPress.COM blogs and no others. You appear to be referring to a WordPress>ORG site and posting to the wrong support forums. If you don't have a username account at WordPress.org click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.org bloggers.

I have a wordpress blog that I use to upload to my website (via the oneclick uploader). However, I want to change it so that the wordpress blog deals with one aspect of what I do (a course that I run) and I use the website for everything else that I do (various different subjects). I changed the blog theme and realised that this somehow 'disconnected' it from the website. So, I thought the easiest thing would be to retain the blog as it now is and start a whole new blog in order to upload to the website. (I have not yet cleared the website of the original content yet but will happily do so as soon as I know if this is all possible). My questions are...
Can I run more than one wordpress blog?
If so, do I have to reload the one-click installer related to the 'new' blog in order for it to connect to the website (as happened automatically with the original blog/website connection) or does it HAVE to use the original - therefore how do I sort it all out please?

Many thanks if you can help. I am totally non-techy and really need someone to mentor me through the changes. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I am interested in the WordAds program for blogs hosted on wordpress.com - but I am unsure about the criteria to get a blog approved.

I understand that I need to purchase a top-level domain for my blog in order to use WordAds. However, there seems to be a possibility that my blog can get rejected even after purchasing a domain. How can I ensure my blog gets approved for WordAds (except for keeping the community guidelines etc.)? I would like to start a new blog for this project I do not have any traffic at this point.

Obviously I do not want to risk paying for a domain and afterwards being stuck without an option for monetization (as other advertising programs are forbidden on wordpress.com).

FYI: The blog I am planning to do would be written in German, in case that makes a difference.
