It is possible the previous web support person did. I saw that the first domain name associated with the account (www.touchofjoyministry.com) was registered using his own personal information.

He is out of contact with us.

If you can't fix this, I could try opening a new WP account, transferring the WP subdomain to it, moving over all the site content, and try from there to get the domain. Is that likely to work?

I'm not sure if I can correctly enter a domain name so many times in a row. I've started triple-checking my typing - I fear when it finally works I will have misspelled something that time, and we have to start over:)

Seriously, you might have people put in domain names twice, like passwords.

That's failed identical attempt 3 or 4, with identical failure results, depending on how one counts. One definition of insanity is doing the same thing again and again and expecting a different result. At what count do you usually try something different?
