Thanks, I have solved the problem by using the Custom Background functionality which allows you to place images above the top menu bar.

Can you please provide a link to the blog that you are currently working on as well as the one where the header image is in a different spot it's easy to compare them?

I have also purchased the WordPress.com Premium package and the Newsy Theme.

How do I position a Header image so that it is above the top menu bar ?

I have done this with another blog which also uses the Newsy theme. But each time I enter the image it is automatically located below the menu bar.

Happy to follow up your suggestion but, as I mentioned I get the same problem on both my blogs. My other WordPress blog is "rbkbblog.com" using the Modern News theme.

I think this is a specific theme related issue. Read-access to the premium themes forum is now open to all users so you can search to see if your question has been previously asked and answered there. If you are not successful when searching then there is a link for the specific Premium Theme support forum for your theme under Appearance -> Themes in your blog’s Dashboard, but do note that the premium theme must be active and you must be signed in as the user who purchased it in order to see it and post to it.

In both my WordPress.com blogs I have set the Comment tagline as "Please Leave a Comment" & that works fine for all my devices except when viewed on a Kindle. The tagline then reads "Speak Your Mind". How/Where can I edit this tagline?

I am trying to pick a new theme! We've been using the same one for a long time and transitioning from just a blog to a website. I really want the homepage to have large picture that slides 3-5 times. In picking a theme, I was looking at ones with a "Post slider." But, considering that I may or may not want these pictures to be posts or not, I'm wondering if what I'm looking for can be done with a theme that does not have a post slider by putting in a slideshow. I have been looking at themes for so very long, but sometimes all the options still make me dizzy. I really just want a theme with all the options I could possibly want, and then I'll edit it with the custom upgrade. "Newsy" seems like it would be good. Can I do a slider on the homepage with that one?

You want to remove the border from all places right, then try adding this,
img.aligncenter, img.alignleft, img.alignright, img.alignnone, .wp-caption img, div.gallery img, .entry-thumbnail img, .commentlist .avatar{ border: none !important; }

1. how can i remove the borders from all images in the newsy theme? What is the CSS code for this. I've tried to change borders by setting advanced settings of images to "0" but that didn't change anything
2. How can I remove the gray stacked header from the custom Newsy theme and replace it with just a small logo with text. Is there a css code?

I don't like all the tags and categories sitting and taking up space between the post title and content. Please help. I've been trying to figure this out for two hours. I just converted to the Newsy theme and I like it lots--but not all that used up space. I also want a feature that converts all my post to excerpts in this kind of theme. I had another theme where this one not an issue---but now I need more posts to show up in this fashion----because I'm featuring a lot of shops at once. I want home page hits to see as many as possible.

I do know that going back and editing each posts with a line divider thing is a solution---I was just hoping for some magical do them all at once--such as in our feed option.

oh yea--please don't ask me to remove so many images---reduce their quality--or such to speed up my site----I have done this on purpose. I know it slows it down. You can tell I get that a lot.

The words in the post titles on my blog are cut up even if there is room enough, if the word was on a new line. See e.g. june 2012 ( http://panbloggen.wordpress.com/2012/06/ ). The title of the post of June 7, 2012 reads
"Ægteskabsloven ved
taget"
This is actually two words, and the second word "vedtaget" would certainly fit on a new line. I don't understand why the line don't wrap in the space between the words. Any ways to make that happen?

That will disable the comments completely. I still want people to be able to put their comments. I just don't want to see that 'reply' button next to the title.

Any idea?
