It's a bold change, and a lot of work went into it.

There will always be people who don't like change. We love our users and we do listen to your feedback, but we can't make every change suggested by everyone. Decisions are made with that feedback in mind though, so if you have constructive feedback with specifics or bug reports, you should send them to http://en.wordpress.com/admin-feedback/ as timethief suggested.

I am going to close this thread because I don't think more replies here will add anything new that hasn't already been covered. If you find a bug, report it at http://en.wordpress.com/admin-feedback/ or create a separate forum thread with as much detail as possible and someone will take a look. Make sure you have searched the forums to see if your issue has already been reported first!

The point is that if there is a public thread then others will be encouraged to comment.

If you really are interested in feedback then you should leave the thread open.

However, if you are interested in closing down public discontent, then by all means close the thread down.

There is no support issue in this thread and that's why I tagged it for closure.

@lasttechage-Are you referring to the Post/Page Editor Writing Helper's "Request Feedback" module? It's still there. If you can't see the module, make sure it is enabled in the Screen Options (tab at the top right of the Post/Page Editor screen).

JustJennifer, My ScreenOptions tab no longer includes this switch to enable. I am glad you made the comment, though, I thought I lost my memory on what I had done to get it.

I believe it's unrealistic to think that WordPress.com will ever become frozen in time. That's not the nature of cyberspace and saying "If it's not broken don't fix it" is simply an empty cliche. Our operating systems are constantly updated and so is the software and the features it provides.

WordPress.com is on continuous roll-out. Changes to the code are being made many times daily and new features are being introduced, while existing functions and features are being improved and upgraded.

I had ability to get a post reviewed before it is released, that was taken off.

WordPress developers are actually doing covert training. We find a great option, install it, then forget how we did it. Free with upgrade is opportunity to find the way to get it back again. Enough "upgrades" and I will be able to easily recall the steps. But for now...

I must say, it's really quite ridiculous. WordPress is provided 100% free of charge and so is the hosting for a "free" blog. It makes zero sense why someone couldn't put a couple ads on their page.

I saw multiple comments from other members joking about having a good time reporting members for having links on their pages or adsense like advertisements. It was pretty childish to say the least.

I have been here only for a few days and I already see how horrible this community is. Elitists and children.

I tried several different wordpress.com urls and 90% of them were taken. Some from blogs that haven't been used in 5 years or more. Really?

Thank god I can pick up my stuff and find alternate hosting because this community and service blows.
