My website is an old design. I plan to revise it and get a developer to make it with WordPress.org system. That will take time. Before that, I want to get the blog up and I want the blog to appear within my website. Not ideal but better than linking outside of my site. iframe seemed to be an excellent temporary solution except for the problem I described.

It looks like you have a plain html web site - so WordPress.ORG would not support what you are doing either - you could convert your whole site over and drive it with WordPress.ORG - you don't have much content so the conversion would not be large - also iframe in another site looks a bit cheezy to many people and can give you search engine issues - and as noted above we don't provide support for iframe issues

WordPress.com blogs are all free hosted here and they are not intended to be displayed iframes on any other sites at all.

I created a simple blog using WordPress.com and template Ari by Elmastudio. I used iframe to embed it into my existing website.
Here is a link to it: http://www.soundbridgecapital.com/thoughts

When embedded, the designer credit for WordPress.com and Ari by Elmastudio appears over my blog title "SoundBridge Thoughts". This occurs on IE10 most of the time. I have not seen this problem on Firefox, Chrome or Safari.

How can we get this corrected?

Does the Custom Design upgrade let me edit HTML?
No. The Custom Design upgrade allows you to edit fonts and CSS only. You can change the appearance of a theme, but not its HTML markup, PHP code, or content. ... read more here http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/#frequently-asked-questions

I have a menu system on my current non-wp site (olleydesign.co.uk) that I think works extremely well and I would like to try and use it as I change my site to wordpress.

As an example, the 3rd item in my top menu is 'potfolio' and it opens a second vertical menu for the different types of work I do.

when clicking on an item in the second menu, a list opens up and stays open, so the various things I've designed can be looked at in turn, without the user getting lost.

what I'm wondering is whether it is possible to duplicate this menu system on a wordpress site/theme, or indeed if anyone has come across an existing theme that works like this.

many thanks for any comments or help, I am very new to wordpress.

I teach multiple technologies (3D/animation, video/audio, etc.) in addition to web design, so I need a solution with a minimal learning curve.

Is Multisite more straight forward than "multiple installs?" I won't have time to deal with proprietary problems for each student's blog. Turning off each student's plug-ins sounds like a simple way to avoid potential problems.

What are the steps regarding non blogger threats?

Hi, I have a wordpress.com blog: iamanafterschoolspecial.wordpress.com.

I recently received a spam-ish email to the email address associated with my blog. It was also addressed to two other emails both of which are not mine. One was [email redacted] which when i email bounces back. The other is: [email redacted]

This email address is familiar to me. I was contacted personally by the owner of this address to my blog email (which i have since changed) and we chatted back and forth. The person was mostly harrassing me about my content.

In his final email he outwardly threatened me.

I posted his email address on my blog.

When i call the "spammer" I asked how they got they got the emails to send their message to. They informed me that those were the emails linked to my domain.

Since i am not hosted I assume they meant my email domain? however they said it was that they were linked to my actual site.

This is VERY concerning! How can this happen, what does it mean and WHAT CAN I DO?

Also, what can [email redacted] do?

This email is still active.

PLEASE ADVISE ASAP

Thank you!
