Hello rockthecasbah,
That URL (http://8tracks.com/mixes/1732174) points to a mix that hasn't yet been published. A mix must be published before you can share it or embed it anywhere. Make sure it has at least 8 tracks and then press the green Publish button at the top of the page.

Will you please provide the code between backticks so we can examine it here in this forum thread?

The backtick ` not to be confused with the single quote mark ' is located to the left of the number 1 key in lower case under the tilde ~ on most keyboards.

Hi i'm trying to add an 8tracks playlist onto my blog but the embed code that 8tracks is providing for wordpress isn't working and neither is this shortcode suggested here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/audio/8tracks/

I am busy improving a blog for somebody else, and she has a drop down menu on her blog; Hot Meals Now
It works fine on our laptops and on my phone (android), but on iPhone 5, using Safari and Chrome, you can't click the drop down menu; nothing happens. Other links and blogs can be opened though. On the iPhone 4 and the iPad, the drop-down menu also doesn't work using safari.
What can I do to make it work without accessing FTP servers (since wordpress.com users don't have access to FTP)

If you require any more information, please ask!

Hi there!

I show that the Debut theme has been purchased and is active on your account.

Go to Appearance -> Themes in your site's dashboard and search for "Debut" and it will show up. Click the "Activate" link as shown here: http://d.pr/i/mfSp

And you should be set! Let me know if you still have trouble.

I purchased the Debut theme and have been using it for a few months. I accidentally changed my professional website's theme to a different one. The theme change was meant for a different blog of mine, but happened to my professional site instead. I tried to change it back to the Debut theme, but WordPress asked me to buy it again! Please fix this very soon, because my site needs to use this theme and I do not want to pay this fee again. Thank you,

Hi hannahelizabethcolledge, I'm on the case! I'm glad when people let us know about thinks like this instead of trying to switch to the older interface by default because we need to find and fix these things if they're bugs on our side!

I click save and the words 'saving changes' appears - but don't go!

Does the page go completely white or is it just non-responsive after you see the "saving changes" message?

I just checked the blog you selected when you created your help request http://hannahelizabethcolledge.wordpress.com/ and I see that blog is currently using the Bueno theme. So I set Bueno up on my test blog and tried saving changes, and everything worked for me. I went through every one of the side menu items in Bueno. I'm using Firefox 20 on a Mac.

To double check the details so I can make sure I'm testing the right things, can you verify which blog and theme you were using when you saw the problem happen?

And just to make sure, is your web browser up-to-date?

Sorry about that. I just put the Facebook Like Box widget back on. They are in the sidebar on single posts.

When I look at the source code for the site referenced, I don't see the code for widgets in the footer. Did you delete them?

We can't help if we can't see the code to determine what is wrong.

I put the Facebook like box widget on the sidebar of my blog a long time ago. And it looked great. Then one day it just stopped working. No matter how many times I remove it and then add it again, it never shows up.
I also tried integrating a Facebook badge per your guide here (http://en.support.wordpress.com/facebook-integration/facebook-badge/), but that doesn't work either. No badge.
Please help.

Hi,

I'm attempting to use the 'customize' feature on one of the free wordpress templates available. No matter which one I try, even the one's I DON'T want, the customize feature does not work properly. When I choose the colours and backgrounds I would like to use, I click save and the words 'saving changes' appears - but don't go! I've tried waiting around for an hour, nothing. I've tried refreshing, and it'll save parts of the customization but not all, I'll still be stuck with fonts that I didn't want and random colours that don't match the pallette I've chosen! Can anyone shed light on this? Is this just a problem for me!? Thanks x

Thanks for checking. It is curious, as I had not updated my browser when this started happening. I disabled all add-ons, and that didn't help either. Gremlins are at work here, clearly!

I actually tried it on your blog itself with Firefox 19.0.2 and didn't have any problems, hence my initial request on the browser troubleshooting. If you'd like me to do it again and leave one of the copied posts up as a draft so you can see, please let me know.

Since I can't reproduce the problem, I still feel like it's something on your end. Are you able to check from a different computer? Maybe you have something like a system-wide ad blocker interfering.

I had already done that without success, and yes, I closed out the browser and reopened after disabling all add-ons.

Then, I re-enabled them closed out the browser, and things are not working as they were before (no surprise).

If you are a support person for WordPress, can't you try to do this with my theme? I have run into problems before with WordPress, and thus far, it has turned out to be a WordPress issue, not an operator one.

HTTPS is not required, this is troubleshooting, so we can narrow down the causes. Otherwise, we're shooting blind, guessing at problems, and nothing will get fixed.

Would you please try with all browser extensions temporarily disabled? It's possible that a recently updated extension introduced the problem. This is common especially with ad blocker extensions.
