Hi, I am getting complaints from some of my readers that says this here.
After I originally commented I clicked the -Notify me when new comments are added- check box and now every time a remark is added I get four emails with the identical comment.

How can we fix this problem? I have told them not to subscribe for the comments, just for the posts. But why is this happening?

Hi. I wondered if someone could help with a comments issue. One of my commenters commented on a post, saying that after their initial comment they clicked the 'Notify me when new feedback are added' checkbox and now every time a comment is added they receive four emails with identical comments. Firstly, could you tell me how to unsubscribe that person from the notification service (or should I tell them they need to do it manually, as is it right the blogger cannot?) and is it possible to look into why, or have you any ideas, it was that the person received those multiple emails of the same comments? Hopefully it won't happen to them again, or anyone else as I do not want to put them off subscribing to the comments section, and as it was part of a competition as well, it meant they missed out on adding their answer to a comp in the comments. Still I realize these errors happen from time to time.

Yes, anyone can follow comments without even commenting. Use the feed address like http://yourblogname.wordpress.com/comments/feed to let them subscribe. For your blog, it would be http:/osders.wordpress.com/comments/feed

Users can also follow specific tags in your blog. For example, if you have a tag "love", users can follow all posts in that single tag with http://osders.wordpress.com/tag/love/feed

Just add /feed to whatever you want to let them subscribe. Thanks :-)

After a post there is a "Notify me of follow-up comments via email" checkbox, but this only works when also leaving a comment. It's possible users find a conversation interesting and would like to be notified of follow-up comments without wanting to add their voice to the conversation.

Can this be done?

Hello

I am new, but I understand most things about the dashboard, and how it works. One feature of WordPress that I really wanted and understood from the start was, the automatic "push" out to Facebook and Twitter each time I post.

So I set up my dashboard to do both, and from day one, the Facebook one worked perfectly, and the Twitter one fails every time.

I then push the "Authorise connection with Twitter" button, which immediately takes me to an error page that says:

"Whoa there!

The request token for this page is invalid. It may have already been used, or expired because it is too old. Please go back to the site or application that sent you here and try again; it was probably just a mistake."

I've checked my settings on Twitter, and it shows that it allows WordPress - but, I can't get it to authorise from the WordPress side. The error message seemed pretty stupid the first time - "invalid", how could a token that had never been used aleady be "invalid"? Now, I've seen that message 22 times, once for each post.

How can I fix this? What do I have to do to get the WordPress app to REALISE that I've already told Twitter that it's OK for Word Press to push the message about the blog entry to it?

Please help, my Word Press experience WOULD have been 100% positive if it weren't for this irritating, unsolved issue - please someone tell me step by step what to do to "force" twitter and word press to play nicely together :-)

Thanks!

Dave
