If you are not successful when searching there is a link for the specific Premium Theme support forum for your theme under Appearance -> Themes in your blog’s Dashboard, but do note that the premium theme must be active and you must be signed in as the user who purchased it in order to see it and post to it.

I am in DESPERATE need of fixing this, my website is for a documentary film that MUST be fixed asap. Any and all help is appreciated!

I am having trouble configuring my "Home" page as that which displays the featured carousel slider, and my "BLOG" page as that which just displays my posts in a list. What I thought was the correct method was:

-Create pages titled "Home" and "Blog" under the pages tab
-Under settings > reading - set "front page" to display the newly created "Home" page, and posts to fall under "Blog"

For some reason, when selecting "posts page" to fall under my newly created "Blog" page, the home page is left in standard format, while the blog receives the carousel, which I want to be the home page.

This is driving me mad!!

I'm going nuts. I wrote up a blog in Ms Worrd, then logged onto wordpress.com and clicked on Add Post. All I get back is Error on page. I tried opening it in a new tab or new window, same error.
Then I went to my blog, forthebugs.wordpress.com and clicked on New post.
I get this little tiny window above the normal blog screen to enter information. So I tried to copy/paste my blog into the little screen. It brings up a sort of popup that blocks the word-doc screen and says click control-V to enter content. So I do that, but there's no way to save it or anything, so when I go back to the word-doc screen, the content is not there. I've mever had this problem before.

So on the main page, anything I click besides Stats ends with error on page
on the far right top, nerw post fails the same way, and when I click on my blog name, the only thing working is the help tab. Everything else fails to bring back any kind of response.

HELP!!!!! .

Just an added note unless we use the P2 theme which is a Twitter-like theme the front pages of our blogs showcase content and comments are collapsed on that page and you cannot change this. The way the comments function is coded into the core of WordPress. By clicking the post title or the comments link the posts on the front page open on their own page where all comments display.

In a new blog one does not have many posts or comments. In an established blog if the comments did not collapse on the front page it would become a mile long in no time flat and page loading time is a page ranking factor. We have only seconds before visitors refuse to wait and click out.

By default all Wordpres blog have open comments on all pages and posts. if you disabledthem you can enbale them again across the whole blog or individually on some pages and/or posts. This page > Settings > Discussion
Discussion settings is where you set up defaults for comments.
We can also override the default settings and enable or disable comments on any post or page.

I believe google analytics has this but I can't do that with wordpress in regards to bounce rates and the average amount of time that people spend on your blog. I think it would be a good thing to add to the statistics tools on wordpress.

Any theme with a sidebar can display an about me in the sidebar if you add a Text widget.

This is what I found in "sharing" in the support docs:

I can’t see the buttons on the front page.
Make sure to select “Posts and index pages” for “Show sharing buttons on” setting.

It was the "ofticial buttons" issue. Setting it to this options, it works again.

Still do not appear in front page, even though i have that option checked.

Any suggestion?

It's working on my blog so I'm not clear why there are no numbers appearing on yours unless no one has clicked the button.

These are my settings > Settings > Sharing
Button style - Official buttons
Sharing label - Share this:
Open links in : new window
Show buttons on
_ Front Page, Archive Pages, and Search Results
_Posts
_Pages

Are your settings the same as mine?

Yes, i see those buttons.

But, up until 1 month ago, there i could see a "Like button", and a count of how many people liked it.

But now it has disappeared. do you know how can i get it back?

You must have a browser issue because I'm using Firefox 6.01. and I can click your blog post titles and look at the end of the posts and see sharing buttons. Please try clearing your browser cache and cookies and then view your blog again. If your browser version is out of date then you can upgrade any browser here.

I've read you have been having problems with facebook like button in your posts.

In my blog (blog.medicadiet.com), the "like button" has disappeared from each post.

It worked fine until 3-4 weeks ago, but now, i do not know how to show it again.

can you help me?

Hi. Are you referring to the Facebook Like Box? Go to Appearance > Widgets and you'll find it's already there, ready to be added to the widget area of your choice.

Please note: the Like Box only works for Fan Pages (not personal profiles or groups).
