First website ever. I want to use a theme from wordpress that costs 45 dollars. Would it be possible to get the wp theme to the domain on one.com? How much space would I need? Would 5 GB be enough? If it's important, it's this theme: http://themeforest.net/item/the-restaurant/111482

I apologize if some of the questions might have been asked before, but I couldn't find any concrete answers. Would it be easy to set it all up? I do know some html...

I have tried following the instructions here http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/. However it is not clear to me how I can change my domain's name servers using the one.com admin console. When I try to edit DNS settings, I get the following available setting types: web alias, web forward, A, and CNAME. As far as I can tell, none of these are correct.

one.com's own documentation is here http://www.one.com/en/support/guide/advanced/dns#mxrecords. It says nothing about name servers.

Please can anyone help or advise? Thanks!

The would work for subdomain mapping, but then http://stadstuinblog.be would go nowhere.

If you want it to work for both, you need domain mapping, and you need to change your nameservers. Once you change your nameserver, we would become your DNS provider, but we do offer a full DNS panel if you wanted to create new subdomains, direct your email services elsewhere, etc.

@macmanx: This is why I suggested the steps for a subdomain, even though this is a domain. Since the subdomain method uses an existing DNS hosting, like he has at One.com right now, that should function the same way. He would have to add the record (at One.com) with the name as "@" to make it do the domain itself.

@brunokonickx: What macmanx is suggesting, and what most bloggers do for a domain name, is make the setting at the domain registrar. That way WordPress.com becomes your DNS hoster, too, as well as your BLOG hoster. I recommend this way unless you have some other reason to host where you do, such as other host names (subdomains) in your domain.

FYI, those are the addresses are for the domain registrar. If you are having your entire domain be the blog, you could bypass One.com and use ns1.wordpress.com (and ns2 and ns3) as the "delegated DNS hosting" to make WP.com be the DNS host. But if you have other services on your domain, you probably want to keep your DNS hosting as is and use the instructions for mapping a SUBdomain:

http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-subdomain/

That means putting in a CNAME record that makes your domain name point to your blog site name that WP.com controls. CNAME is somewhat like an alias.

Using the NS1.WORDPRESS.COM name servers for the A-records on One.com is not accepted. If I use the 72.233.69.14 ; 76.74.159.137 of 64.34.177.159 addresses doesn't work either.

The One.com support says I have to ask WordPress for the correct IP addresses, but as a user of their free services, you cannot contact their support.

Is there anyone who has a solution for this? I know it works with other registrars, so I hope it works with One.com as well.

thanks in advance
