thetorchblogusa, you can assign child categories by using the custom menu option I mentioned, and dragging the sub/child category to the right so that you get a staggered/stairstep arrangement. Anything indented to the right will be a child of whatever is above it and not indented.

You could also assign a parent to a category by going to Categories (under Posts) and in the edit window, choose a parent category. Note that the parent has to be created first.

The Category widget will only show your categories in alphabetical order.

Instead of using the Categories widget, you can create a new custom menu (in your dashboard, go to Appearance > Menus) that includes just your categories. You can drag and drop them to be in whatever order you'd like. Name that menu "Category menu". Use a custom menu widget and choose the "Category menu" as your menu to display.

None that I can figure out and I've even tried some stuff that was way out there.

The problem is I'm not sure if the above code I've given as an example is supported by all modern browsers, and that can be a problem if it is not. Someone would have to research it and then see if they could talk staff into implementing it. This is another way of doing it (where the doctype is NOT XHTML).

first list item

second list item

All I can suggest at the moment is to do it the old fashion way, numbering it out not using the ordered list. Of course if the the text goes to a second line it starts underneath the number.

I am trying to reverse the order of numbers in the ordered list but unfortunately it doesn't work.
I want 10,9,8,7,6, ...1 but when I use the ordered list tag it appears in ascending order.
So, I try doing this:
'

'
'
' ''
'

which is supposed to numbered as 5 but when I switch from html to visual editor it gets changed to 1,2,3.. instead of 5,4,3...
How do I achieve this ?

Hi, I am having some problems with line spacing in ordered lists in my posts. I have tried everything I can think of but when I insert an ordered list into a post, there is no space between each number in the list. I have tried using
and
but neither of them create space. To see what I'm talking about go to http://wealth-ed.com notice under the most recent post that there's an ordered list(1-7) but there is no spacing between each number. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!
