Thank you for posting these inquiries.

I'm having the same "Featured Category" issue with Structure, as well as other issues that have all arisen today without my making any changes. The font colors on the frontpage have changed, and all of the text in the sidebars are now not visible due to the background color that I use.

Are these issues due to wordpress.com's new changes? Are they temporary while bugs are being worked out? Should I wait or begin rebuilding?

Yep, same issue here. I'm using the Structure theme as well. All my "Theme Options" had been reset somehow, and now when I try to change them back, I get the "Are you sure you want to do this?"

BTW, why would they ask that question if they don't give you the option to say "Yes"?

Hi there,

Same problem here. I want to change my "Featured Category" in my Theme Options to my "Welcome" category (how it used to be always before) but when I click "Save Options", I get a WordPress Failure Notice saying "Are you sure you want to do this? Please try again". This is messing up the front page of my blog as it is not taking the images from my "Welcome" category.

My theme is Structure by Organic Themes.

Please advise how to fix this.

Hey there,

Since about noon today, 12/19/12, I cannot change the "Featured Category" in my Theme Options tab under Appearance. I usually have my "Feature" category listed under the "Featured Category" but WordPress is telling me there is a Failure Notice.

My theme is Structure by Organic Themes.

Please let me know how to fix this, thanks!

I want to bring the article I link to to your attention. Staff have made a recent change to featured images. The bottom line is you must optimize and presize your featured images to exact dimensions for your theme before uploading them. I'm using the Structure them by Organic Themes and have been doing so for quite some time, very pleased with how it worked. However, about a month ago the "Featured Image" application stopped working. My home page no longer displays whatever Feature Image I sent when doing a new post and I just cannot seem to figure out what has happened along the way.

Anyone have any insight?

Hey!

Verbage theme, from organicthemes.com, now has a free version. It's a beautiful theme, minimal and very delicate and elegant. It's pretty unique, doesn't like any theme already on wordpressdotcom (in my opinion), and it's a very clean, elegant design. You already have structure theme here, also from organic themes, so now that verbage has a free version, can't you include that too?

As my post says, if you're not seeing the Featured Image module while on the post editor screen, click Screen Options (top right) to activate it.

Hi! I am a new user of wordpress. I am using the theme Structure by Organic Themes.

I want to have a fixed image for the homepage (above the last post). I have tried with the widget "image" but I cant put the image in the midle of the page, I can put it only on the right side (Homepage Top Right).
I have seen a blog which has the image in the midle, where says "This is the home page widget area. You can use this space to add an introductory message to your blog with a Text Widget or add any other widget here"

¿Does anybody know how can I do it?

If you are making a specific theme request then this is what the sticky post says at the head of this forum:

Post a suggestion for a new theme
Please give us the theme name, a link to view the theme, and—most importantly—why you like it and would love to have it on WordPress.com.

Please search the forum first for a suggestion on the same theme. If it exists, add your vote to the same topic and add a note about why you like the theme.

That's not possible. WordPress.COM is a multiuser blogging platform and we have no FTP access to ou rblogs so we cannot upload any themes. We run of idifferent software from that at wordpress.ORG.
