Yes it does add them automatically, when you use the regular menu of the theme instead of a custom menu.

Ah ha! Thank you. I was under the impression that wordpress added them automatically (which was why you had to order them). Going into appearance and Menus, worked a treat. Thank you again!

Thank you for the advice. I only have 3 pages at this point since I have just started creating this site. I went and checked all the order #'s and parent sites, and there is no conflict. Home is ordered as 0, About Us is ordered as 2, and Services is ordered as 3, Volunteer is listed under the parent Services and is ordered as 0. Any other ideas?

Custom menu Troubleshooting – My Pages aren’t appearing
They must be public pages – not private.
Public – The page will be visible to everyone.
Protected – The page is protected with a password you set. Only people who have the password can view a protected page.
Private – Pages are only visible to blog Editors and Administrators. Private pages are not visible in the Reader, feeds, or in any search. A page can be private without being password protected.

Troubleshooting – My pages are in the wrong order
Check the sub-pages themselves to see if you have established a Parent page and child page “hierarchical structure” in the page attributes module. Remove if required. Also remove any “order” numbers you have assigned that may conflict with the order you are creating by dropping and dragging. Or simply change them so they are the same order as you establish in the menu. Establish consistency – problem solved.

The new page I have created called "Services" and ordered as 3 is not displaying on the top menu bar. I have refreshed, signed out and signed back in cleared my browsing data, and I can't seem to get it to show up. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Go to Appearance > Menus, select the blank option from the Theme Locations pulldown, click Save.

Along the same lines as this thread--
Why will my menu (2010 theme) only show one tab (the home tab)? I have added two other pages but they do not present on the menu.

You have a misconception. One menu means the whole bar of tab for items like about me, company, blah, blah, blah and blah.

Click my username and look at the cusom menu. I have a single custom menu with many items in it. Some items are tabs to static Pages, some items are dropdown tabs to sub-pages from Parent pages, and some items are tabs to Categories and sub-categories.

Your theme supports 1 menu. Select which menu you would like to use.

more amazing information. I have most of these things done. One thing i didnt understand on this last one you sent, maybe this will help me:

"❇ I created a custom menu but it’s not showing up

A custom menu isn’t automatically activated once you create and save it (reasons: a, it can show up in at least two different places, b, you can create and save several menus). If you want your custom menu to appear in the header area, you must select it from the pulldown in the Theme Locations module and click the Save button of that module."

I have my pages on the all pages page, i even put one sub page i want to put under one of those pages....what i am i doing wrong?

That was great information, learned some more with that... But my main problem is not fixed.

I have put main menu names in the PAGES section (And I also tried the MENU section) tabs called: home, about me, empower network, etc... tabs. But I also want to put sub menu tabs that are under these tabs. Is 'parenting' the only option? Becuase It doesnt give me an optikon to use it.

To create a showcase template, you need to go to Pages > Add New. That's the dashboard screen that should be displaying the Page Attributes module. If it isn't, you click Screen Options http://en.support.wordpress.com/screen-options/ while on that screen (the page editor screen): and include all the Pages and Posts modules. http://en.support.wordpress.com/modules/#list-of-modules each dashboard screen has different screen options.

It was mentioned in the learnikng guide that Twenty Eleven Theme works well with menus and sub menus with pages, I have tried to go to the 'parent' part in the page attribute section, but it doesnt give me the option for 'parent' . When I go to the 'quick edit section', I see the word parent, but I have no choices to choose from. I have even tried to change the theme to see which one is better, but now after the 3rd time and trying to learn from your awesome learning guides I feel like I am doing something wrong. I have tried with Pages and Menus and do not know my next step. I now curently have both set up and need some help please and thank you
