Thank you!!!!

Last question - is there any way that I can have something more on the page than "enter password".
Basically I'd like to put quotes on the page and then have documents behind that can only be viewed with the password.
If that makes sense?

Hey,

We have just launched the website http://www.nationalcollective.com, however we are having a problem when people attempt to share our website via Facebook. When they "Like" and or post a link to an article, instead of the article title, copy summary and image thumbnail appearing, they see:

BLANK

We previously had the "Password Protect WordPress Blog 3.9.1" plugin installed and are wondering if it is something to do with this, or if there is another problem? And how we can fix this?

The issue occurs when our visitors share our index page and 80% of our articles.

A fix would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards,

NC

You could set up a generic notice in a text widget in the sidebar of your blog with a link to your newsletter. Do note that passwords are only as secure as the people who have them. In other words, they can be given by your subscribers to other people.

Just thinking out loud, as a subscriber I would not see the point of signing up for a newsletter if the content given is material that is freely available on other websites.

I want to add a short note instead of the usual: This post is password protected. To view it please enter your password below:</e>

For example, This post is password protected. To get the password please sign up for my newsletter. If you have the password, enter it and you'll have immediate access to it!

I tried the "optional excerpt" thing suggested in the other forums but it didn't work.

Is there any way?????

Hello -

I'm new to WP - My business partner and I have a WP website (using Headway as the skin) and we are using it to test and wireframe some content. However, clients have accidently found the website and we need to find a way to either disable it or password protect it. However, in the process, I tried changing the URL in the settings area of Headway, and now I'm blocked out of the website and really not sure what to do. The links from the website are still available, but getting a 404 error for each one and I can't log into the Admin area. Please help and wondering how best to solve this problem! The website is http://www.davidchernew.com
