Thanks so much for your help, that has solved the wordpress side of things. Now I seem to have an issue with the domain itself in that is has expired. Someone else set the website up but I am now admin and don't have details of the domain supplier. Hopefully I can get the domain again as I have paid the wordpress fee already..

You'll need to be logged in as the user who purchased the domain mapping subscription to renew it.

However, since this is just a domain mapping subscription, and it is expired, I have canceled it.

You can now re-map the domain yourself by adding it via Store -> Domains in the blog's Dashboard.

Apologies, I know this has been covered a lot but I really could do with some help on this. Our domain expired 2 weeks ago and we really really need it back but I can't see a renew button.

not sure if this exists, I have a crappy paint made version of what I am going for.
I am looking to do a static front page where it would have thumbnails of the 6 most recent posted categories and when clicking it takes you to the archive of that category, does something like this already exist?

For WordPress.com, that's correct. Updates would need to be CSS-only or you would need to switch to WordPress.org.

Is there anyone willing to help me out with some blog customization? I'm using the 'Coraline' theme for its 3-column format and infinite scroll, but was previously using 'Vertigo' for its font and styles. I don't think we can access PHP for themes, but I do pay for customization and have fiddled a little with the HTML, I just don't know enough about this stuff myself. I don't think I'm ready for my own site yet, I really like the ease of use with a WordPress.com blog.

I can provide the HTML code and hex colors I use, links to themes for reference, fonts, images, RSS feeds I use if necessary. I also have enough hard drive space if that is a consideration.

I am willing to pay a modest sum for satisfactory work, but I don't think I really need that much done. I've already gotten it pretty much where I need it, just need a few tweaks if they are possible.

Let me know if you think you can help, we can discuss the details, feasibility, and pricing.

There is not a way to add custom form code directly, but you can link out to payment options such as a PayPal payment link if you use plain links.

I am going to be setting up a website that I need to have a pay per click music player. It is not your conventional pay per click idea. The listener will get paid "X" amount for listening to the song and for a max of 1 time, then must pay to download it. How would I do this, if possible in wordpress?

Note: With the exception of the Guided Transfer, all upgrades are per year and per blog.

I'm trying to upgrade to a premium theme. Each time I go to pay, it directs me to a page with failure in the title, and the words "Are you sure you want to (do this)?" but does not have any navigation buttons (like yes, or no). The only way off the page is to hit my back button on my browser or close out of my web browser window.

Would love to purchase, but can't make my way past this error.

I've upgraded my browser (Firefox) and it didn't help.

No. There are no such "upgrades". WordPress.com and WordPress.org run on different software. No amount of money can change the fact that WordPress.com is a multuser blogging platform where restriction do apply for security reasons. There is no FTP access and we cannot upload individual plugins.

If those are your requirements then hire a web host and set up a free software install from WordPress.ORG. http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

The other option is that you choose wordpress blog template. the cheaper one with built-in spam protection on wordpress.com.

You can make the wordpress.com private which means other people outside construction company cannot get in unless they have a password.

Make sure you choose a wordpress.com template that allows you to have the automatic slideshow feature without going to slideshare, flickr, etc. knowiing construction engineering projects, they LOVE and need to upload photos for progress/inspection purposes.

Best of luck. I was a Document Control Manager for a very large construction engineering project with multiple work sites.
