I copied the url, pasted it in the body of my text. When I look at my actual blog, there is no video, but there is the link to the YouTube video. I returned to my text page in admin, and saw that the url was in a different color. So, I unlinked the url so the type is black. However, when I look at the actual blog, the hyperlink url remains. Any ideas?

First, create a new page called "Donate"

No, in that page follow the guide at http://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal/ to insert a linked Donate button into the page content, not the title.

Once that's done, let me know the URL of the new page so I can take a look.

By pressing the link icon picture to add a new link, by pressing the Link word in text edit and copy pasting the url and even just directly in the body of post. Either way the button does not work.

I want people to be able to go to the donation page and read the contents and choose to click on the donate button within the page to donate through pay pal.

Please let me know.

and paste it on a line all by itself yin your post. That's it.
