I am trying to figure out how to upload a pdf file to a page. I'd like to publish a program to an event and if I copy / paste the text from Word it comes out all wrong. Therefore, I thought I could upload a pdf file instead, but I have not idea how to do it. Hope someone can help.

The link appears on the page, but when you click on it the page takes ages to reload, then gives an error...

I am trying to put a pdf file onto my website, so that visitors can download the pdf document.

I have tried two methods without success:

1) loading the document into the media library, then copying the file URL and putting it as a link.

2) Using the add media button, directly from the page - clicking 'file URL', then 'Insert into post'.

The file is a document containing music manuscript. it is 157 kb in size.

Either way, it doesn't work. If the page goes blank and seems to hang. If I am lucky, I get an error message saying 'zero sized reply'.

What am I doing wrong?

You right. I just try using Internet Explorer 7.0.5, and now i can upload that file (pdf).

I am using Mozilla 3.0.
FYI: i just use 2.1MB from 3GB of wordpress media capacity. And I dont have any problem to upload picture.
