New and updated translations are deployed manually rather than automatically at this point. It happens once or twice per week, for languages that have over 200 new or updated strings. I hope this helps with your planning!

One last question - I assume that there's a mechanism that automatically checks and pulls new/changed translations. How often do the live strings get updated? Just so we can timeplan our proofreading of live stuff.

Sorry about the confusion! I meant to say that I was going to check why it was not showing up. I did, and now it works - you can select "gd" under Users > Personal Options and view your site in Scottish Gaelic.

Thanks - slightly confused. Do you mean you're checking in this translation (i.e. putting them somewhere so they will be available/active) or did you mean that you're looking into how to do this?

Hi,
We've been beavering away at the Gaelic translations of .com and have just about reached 25%. I remember someone saying that we don't actually have to reach 100% before the language goes live and I was wondering what the cutoff was? Looking at http://en.wordpress.com/languages/, some languages seem to be listed which have a very low % of strings translated.

Just trying to figure how the process works on .com so we know what to expect.

Hi Guys. does anyone know how to add a percentage to a custom field if its a number?

So for example my code is;

<?php echo get_post_meta($post->ID, 'price', true) ?>

If the value of price is 100 and i want it to automatically add 20% so that the outcome is 120, how is this possible?

This is a multiuser blogging platform wpMU and the only plugins used here are universal and apply to all blogs like Akismet. As the links I posted above reveal we do not have plugin tabs and we cannot upload individual plugins on this wpMU platform.

WordPress.com does run Google analytics on our blogs and because only 1 urchin script is allowed to run on our blogs we cannot individually run Google analytics as well. http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/08/03/can-i-use-google-analytics/

If you wish to see additions to the stats display that we get now as you have described above then you will have to send in a support ticket as thesacredpath has described above.

Ahhh, ok sorry. When I see "plugin" I automatically assume outside wordpress.com. As I said your best bet is to pass your request on to staff so that they can consider it.

I assume you are using the stats plugin on a self-hosted blog. For feature requests, I would suggest that you contact support and let them know about your suggestion.

No, I mean the 'Blog Stats' feature on the WordPress Dashboard. It may not be a plugin.. I just meant an extension from the original WP install.

I'm fairly happy with the Stats plugin that WordPress.Com uses—but I have one suggestion.

There should be percentages for each day, saying what percentage of visitors came from a search engine, what percentage was referred, and what percentage came directly.

please do not use all caps; it is considered rude in the forums. go to dashboard -> manage -> uploads. then select the upload you want to delete, you will see a 'delete file' option.

Greets:

Just noticed that when one deletes an upload, the space used as a percentage remains the same. Even after 24 hours, it's still at the same old percentage.

Could have sworn that we had a thread on this in teh past but I'm not finding it right off.
