There is no FTP access to free hosted wordpress.COM blogs and we cannot install individual plugins into them. I’m sorry but that blog is not a free blog from and being free hosted by wordpress.COM so we cannot help you with it. WordPress.COM blogs and wordpress.org installs operate on different code. The correct support forum to get support for that site is here > http://wordpress.ORG/support

For more clarity please read the sticky post at the head of this forum or the summary provided by Staff in the support documentation.

Hi,
I have wordpress installed on my domain, I have just installed a plugin and noticed that the main home page returns a blank page. All other pages on the site display ok when I access them through their links but not the front page of the wordpress site. I would have thought that deleting the plugin would have solved this but no.

the domain is at [ davefinmarketing.com ] . What usually shows up is the front page of my wordpress site but as you can see, there is nothing there. Is there any way of repairing this stupid mistake? I have had this happen before but thankfully it was at the very first stage of the installation and the site had no content so I did a complete reinstall. I really do not want to go through rebuilding the site if I can help it. I would appreciate some very expert advice or help on this..

thanks

Dave

Hi,

My site was running really slow so I installed the Database Manager plugin to optimize it, which fixed the problem. However, once I did that, it created a new problem entirely: I started getting this glaring red error at the top of my dashboard:

"Your backup folder MIGHT be visible to the public. To correct this issue, move the .htaccess file from wp-content/plugins/wp-dbmanager to /home/content//html/camelsandchocolate/wp-content/backup-db."

Only, once I moved the .htaccess to the correct folder, the message went away and my homepage worked, but when I would click directly on a post--any post--it would take me to a blank screen that said "Denied Access."

Also, on the side, this is now what shows up when you click on my user profile via my site:

http://camelsandchocolate.com/author/admin/

which is just odd...it's never done that before.

Help?

Hello All

I am trying to get this plugin working it requires a new table in my DB….’my data_base.wp_pre_publish_reminders’…. No problemo I can do that with my handy dandy MySQL aplication……….except it won’t let me just create an empty Table it wants me to define the the fields. Not really sure but there is nothing I can see that would help me define the table in any of the code or documentation for that plugin. I know nothing about MySQL and very little about PHP. I am hosting this at ANHosting which is a new host for me so the whole Blogging thing is pretty confusing right now.
Anyway:

I think the plugin is in the right place? @ / public_html / wp-content / plugins / pre-publish-reminders

But I get the following: WordPress database error: [Table ‘mydatabase_wrdp1.wp_pre_publish_reminders’ doesn’t exist]SELECT Reminder_ID, Reminder_Text, Reminder_Background_Color, Reminder_Text_Color, Reminder_Order, Is_Bold, Is_Italic FROM wp_pre_publish_reminders ORDER BY Reminder_Order

Can anyone tell me what fields I need to create when I add the new table?
Also how the fields should be defined?
I think the plugin was supposed to create the table but it doesn't I have deactivated reactivated removed and reinstalled but nothing changes.
TIA
PenMaster
