I came across a strange quirk when testing out the new visibility feature for widgets.

If you open Design → Widgets, open one of the existing widgets, click the 'Visibility' button and close the widget afterwards, it stays in a weird spot slightly moved to the left. Made a screenshot.

This can only be reverted either by reloading the page or opening and closing the widget one more time.

Hi,

New to all this so please excuse my ignorance.

Using WordPress, Catalyst and the Ultimate TinyMCE plugin, I am using the layer button to add a DIV to my page. Using the Visual Editor, I can move this DIV around the page to where I want it but when I publish, the DIV shows up a different location to where it's supposed to be.

My site, which is provided by a hosting provider, is essentially made up of a header and footer over which I have little control (other than the contents of menus and widget areas). But I can edit the main body of each page that I create and this is what the Visual Editor gives me control over.

This page illustrates nicely my problem:

http://lynbrook.org.au/secret2-2/

This is the contents of the HTML for this page:
This is my DIV that I created with the layer botton. I have placed this on the page in the Visual Editor so that it appears
to be centered directly beneath the microphone image on this page.
Although I have a reasonable understanding of basic HTML, I'm not overly familiar with WordPress itself. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a background image that I use for the "header" that wanted to extend below the content on pages and posts, but not on the home page (this is a Bold News-based site). So I used relative positioning to move the content up into the header area on the "post" and "page" classes, but not on the "home" class. No problem - looks great.

Except there's now a huge blank area between the content and the footer, where the content would usually be. I want to get rid of that blank area - how do I do it?

Hi, I've got something strange going on. Today I noticed the total number of positions for widgets in the sidebar, is larger than the actual widgets displayed in the sidebar itself. Normally this amount of numbers/positions should be equal to the number of widgets actually installed.

I removed all disabled widgets, but no difference. I really have no clue what to do about this. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi gprew,

We're sorry about the issue. There was a glitch in Suburbia in a short period of time but it's been fixed now. I removed the blank text widget and move the rest of widgets back how they were.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you very much for your help. I have used a workaround which consists in putting a blank text widget into footer area one. This has moved everything to the right and now looks as it should.
