I have a blog under a custom domain and would like to enable post-by-email. Using the "My Blogs" method will give me a random (and fairly crufty) email address, which I know will trip up the group members who'll struggle to remember the right address. Can I specify a name for my post-by-email address, using our custom domain?

The closest I've found to this on the Forum got sidetracked into using Google mail for the drop box. I've already paid WP for the domain; can't I use it for the secret email box?

Hi, Timethief, thanks for showing response, yes i have checked this page and many others also i Google on it as well, i try to Google how to embed any thing in email. but i was not succeeding but now when i just try the short code AS IT IS, i have solved almost 90% matter, which i want to share with you and others as well so that if any one want to benefit he/she can.

once you enabled the post by email service you can easily post. just finish your email and for selecting category , tag, or any thing else just use these brackets

[catagory short naname of your catagory]

for example if i want to post " is it a crush , and i want to post it in catagory"ABOUT ME", I will simply write

[catagory about]

no special codding

its good to use post by email service i am exploring more and more by trying and error method.

still 10% is left

1- can we send content in our web pages directly through "post by email" So far i am not succeeding
2- IF I WANT TO USE " short link" service after post has been published can i do.

Dear fellow WordPress.com bloggers,

I have an issue with the Post by email feature.
It doesn't work when I send emails to it.

I read everything on the Post By Email support page ( http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-by-email/ ), but I couldn't find a solution. I write my emails in rich text format, still they are rejected and WordPress.com won't publish them. Now my question is, why are some of the messages getting rejected from your end?

If needed, I can paste the source code of the emails I am sending. I guess something must be wrong with that.

Greetings and thanks in advance,

That solution would unfortunately not work as it is the (to) email address on WordPress.com that is set, not the (from) end-users email address.

I was hoping there would be some round-about way of doing it, perhaps by send the email to another WordPress.com site then routing the posts from that over to the original one perhaps via RSS, but there doesn't seem to be a way of doing that from what I can see. I guess that sort of functionality could be abused by spammers so I don't think it's even worth requesting it.

I'm guessing this isn't possible after all. Darn.
