My recommendation is not to create posts here http://wordpress.com/#!/post/ lest you actually want to create an Aside (post format) with no title and no categories and tags, rather than a Standard post format. I create all posts on my own blog's dashboard and I recommend you do the same.

Edit the post and look in the far right hand column under the post attributes box for post formats. Choose "Standard" and add your categories and tags. Then click "Update".
