--at least for me.
When I am prompted to compare revisions, or go myself to compare a previous update of a post, I don't see the old page where I could choose any previous revision to compare the current one to.

Instead I am shown two revisions of my post, asked if I want to revert to "this" one but there is NO INDICATION as to which of the two is meant!!!

I knew I wanted the version in the right column, but saw no way to select it, or to know if it was the one WordPress thought was the "current" one or if it was the one I was being asked if I wanted to change back to...

Since there was no way to tell which of the two I would be "choosing" if I clicked "YES", I blindly did click yes. Then, because I had two windows open of this post I got completely confused as to which version I now had (my own fault---but the original problem seems to me to be a very bad new design for comparing revisions.)

I ended up copying and pasting the part I wanted from one of the two mystery columns in the "compare revisions" window and pasting that into my draft and saving it. Very laborious.

How can I select one of the two columns?
Why isn't each column labeled with which revision (date and time) it is?
How am I supposed to know which of the two versions is the one I am picking if I click "yes" to revert?

Also (plaintive whine): why did WordPress abandon the old, very functional window that showed ALL the options of previous revisions to choose from--and clearly labeled each column with which version it was?

Thank you for your prompt reply timethief.

This is simply awful especially when it auto saves at 2 minute intervals.

This is definitely something that needs to be fixed. If you cannot delete old revisions you are subject to constant prompting reminders of more recent revisions even if you do not desire to use them. It is too much and as such easily becomes a hassle to locate the revision you desire.

The information on the page you provided a link to is incorrect. I have several auto save revisions for the same page, same post, and I have seen several where the auto save saves a new version independent of the previous just saved two minutes prior.

This makes WordPress less desirable for me and I am sure I am not alone in this. I don't want my blog to be saved every 2 minutes and I don't want a list of the 25 latest revisions every time I view a revision.

There should at least be an option to turn off the auto save or to set it at a specific time interval.

I do concede that an auto save feature has its use but this is simply ridiculous and I find it quite unprofessional. I cannot believe that I am the only person that knows how to save their work at regular intervals.
