That's actually a feature that's built into the theme itself. You can hide it using CSS such as:

#entry-author-info {

Whether or not full posts are displayed on Categories Pages and Archives pages is theme dependent ie. it's coded into the template and we cannot edit templates or themes. http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/editing-themes/

In the majority of themes, posts on category or other archive pages show up just as they do on the main posts page in the blog and the number displayed is also the same. (See this page > Settings > Reading and note how many posts you choose there sets it for all). But in some themes only the beginnings of posts are shown, and in a few themes you only get titles or thumbnails. See here for a theme list of themes that may display the way you want > Category/archive pages: full posts or not http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/03/25/full-posts-in-archive-pages/

I am also curious if there is a way to center align the gravatar widget under the title at the top of the page??

I think it looks nice without adding extra stuff to the header, but you can add things there with CSS by repositioning things already on the page or by adding a background image to the site title.

Here is one example of the 2nd thing, adding a background image to the site title:

#container h1.sitename {
	padding-bottom: 138px;
	background: url(http://0.gravatar.com/avatar/35c95045e474bfa496b8104c7cf09084?s=128&d=monsterid&r=PG) center 130px no-repeat;
}

That example will work to add your Gravatar image just below the site title in the DePo Masthead theme.

Hello guys,

First thing thank you if you are taking the time to answer to my problem. I have been searching for a couple of days a solution to my problem over the forum but I did not find any clear solution to fix my problem.

So here I am and here is my problem:

I am actually using the WordPress theme Oxygen on a website I am trying to develop.

Please find the link to my website here

As you can see, the main page is a static page divided in three parts: Thumbnail to features images / Recent articles / More articles.

I am having a hard time with the "Recent articles" section. Actually, when I post an article it features correctly on the right section. The thing is, I wish to display a summary on my frontpage not the whole article (cf. this link in the Recent articles part, the articles are featured with (...) at the end, this is what I want to do)

I have been using the More Tag, nothing changed. (But strangely the Page Break do work). I have been doing some researches and I know it is possible to do such a thing.

I am missing something, somewhere.

Is anybody able to help me solving my problem?

Thank you in advance for your time.

Jean

Yes, the more tag is supported. And unfortunately there is not bulk edit function to use, so it will be an exercise of manual (well individual post) work. Get a book on CD, a movie on DVD, or some good music… Sorry for the bad news, but it will work.

Hi all! I have a technical question I've found no answer for yet.

So, I have the blog and on the main screen my latest posts. I have a menu with categories, ppl can choose categories at the top and read articles belong the chose category. My problem is that when I choose a category I see all the posts in full there, while I want them only a few line long texts. The problem is that the current way only one post in the category takes all the page and ppl need to scroll down and down and down for older posts. If I could make the posts appear there not in their full length then that would be awesome.

I show you an example: this is how my works: hirpotlo.wordpress.com
This is how I want it to work: http://rosszabbikblog.wordpress.com

I hope someone can help me in that. Thanks in advance!
