I have the VideoPress upgrade and no, that isn't the correct site. I am aware that VP is required. I tested this issue with Safari, Firefox, IE 8/9/10, and Opera and you have the problem with ALL of the sites.

The simple file uploader does not work at all -- it fails miserably quite frequently. The multi-file uploader was failing too sitting on the non-stop CRUNCHING message. I was able to resolve the problem -- it appears that you must be on the VERY LATEST version of flash for this to work at all. It still fails sometimes but updating to the NEW version of flash makes it better. Even a minor missing update causes it to fail.

This has been a NON-STOP issue for me. The uploads NEVER work. I have spent hours, upon hours, upon hours trying to upload videos and having them FAIL in the crunching step that never stops.

1. I am on the latest version of Firefox.
2. I am using HTTPS.
3. I have cookies set as suggested above.
4. All browser extensions have been disabled.
5. Media type being uploaded is .mp4
6. All files are SUBSTANTIALLY below the maximum size.
7. My connection is 30Gbps down and 10Gbps up
8. None of your suggestions EVER have worked.

I really need to upload -- if I can't figure this out I'm going to have to look elsewhere. I think with the non-stop posts, complaints, and support issues from the user community this would be taken more seriously.

I have had issues with "crunching" that never ends while uploading supported types of media files. My high-speed Internet connection is working fine. I have noticed many posts by other users having this same issue. WordPress: please fix the issue or consider posting more definitive information about what users should expect or how to get around this issue (if it's even possible). I have considered upgrading to Pro in order to upload different types of media, but knowing that these technical issues continue to exist, I'm not convinced I should.

WordPress would have to have a PP slideshow viewer built into it for it to actually show as a slideshow within the blog, or the person viewing it would have to have a PP slideshow viewer add-on installed in their browser.

I have doubts there are any GPL PP slideshow viewers they can incorporate. I also have doubts there are any PP slideshow viewer plugins for browsers.

Some have turned the slideshows into movies and then posted those to Youtube or such and then put that video into their blogs, but if there is audio with it, the audio will not be in the video as I understand it.

I can upload PPT but I wanted to upload PPS (Power point show), which is not available as one of the option (I have purchased the additional space upgrade as well). However, I was able to upload it anyway, using the browser upload button instead.

Just realized that I have in past uploaded PPS file, so this must be a recent change where WP is not allowing it anymore. Or am I not following proper etiquette to upload this file properly?

This is really surprising. I just tried uploading MS Power Point's PPS file, and it won't let me.

What could be a security reason behind not allowing this file type?
