Thank you for your response. I dislike the options WordPress.com has for the credit section. It is not very user friendly, in fact it can be a deal breaker to me and to potential new customers.

Also, thanks for answering regarding the visibility question. I did that, but still seemed like it was viewing live(even when I logged out of wordpress)...

Im probably way over my head with trying to take this approach - but whatever...I like and want what I like and want...

Two quick thoughts:

At the bottom of any webpage, there is a bar that says something along the lines: "wordpress.com | Theme: so and so | Designer/Co.: so and so"....Can you delete this if you go completely custom(premium everything?)

Second, can I edit and design my website without the world seeing what I am doing...It seems like once you buy a premium template and you activate, its live!!! I dont want my site live until I am ready for it to launch?

Please advise...Thank you.

I have created a new blog from the one I was previously writing for. I have several articles on the old blog that I would like to link to my new one. I have been reblogging my old articles and having them open up in a new window but I want the reader to remember to go back to my new site by adding a link at the end of the reblogged articles (am I making sense??)

I'm wondering if all my Publicize/Publish settings will be alerted/pinged again? There were other authors on the old site and the settings are so that our separate outlets (ie. facebook, twitter, etc) are automatically notified when an article has posted. I don't want to do this since the articles are older and the other site is all but defunct. Are there any suggestions on how to handle this??

I am using the Oxygen Theme for the new blog http://www.chunein.com
The old site uses the Selecta theme (www.tonescientizt.wordpress.com)

Hi there,
Is this the blog?
http://faeteardrop.wordpress.com/

You may be able to recover an earlier post revision. Go to Posts > All Posts, hover over the title of the post, click Edit and check the Post Revisions module for previous saved versions of the post. http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-revisions/

If you're not seeing the Revisions module while on the editor screen, click Screen Options (top right corner of your Admin page) http://en.support.wordpress.com/screen-options/ to activate it. Then select the post and page modules to include them. http://en.support.wordpress.com/modules/#list-of-modules Then you ought to be able to go here > Dashboard > All Posts > Posts and locate the post and recover it from post revisions.

If you cannot locate the post for locating and restoring a post revision, and it's not in your Trash folder http://en.support.wordpress.com/trash/ then you will not be able to recover it. http://en.support.wordpress.com/trash/#restoring-from-trash

Did you create your post on the dashboard of your own blog?
Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New

Or did you create your post on the front page of WordPress.com?
http://wordpress.com/#!/post/

Advice:
Create your posts on the dashboard of your own blog
Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New

Or use an offline blog editor so your have backups on your own computer http://en.support.wordpress.com/xml-rpc/

Refresh page, it reverts to an older draft.

Go to the home page, and it no longer exists.

The share link that is sent to twitter, facebook etc comes up with a 404 error.

I've tried going back to the saved drafts, fixing it so it's the right draft again, publishing it again, and I continue to have the same problem.

I don't know what I'm apparently doing wrong. I've never had this issue before.

Hi there,

Since the new changes to the site came into effect (and it is all looking great by the way!) I have been having trouble with my posts in the wordpress.com Reader.

Before the update every post I made had the main image as the focus then the first couple of lines of text automatically generated to help entice readers to click and read the whole thing. It was great and I loved the simplicity of it.

Since the update this no longer happens my posts appear in the Reader view as a single image.

If you scroll down you can see older posts that have the first few lines of text on them while the newer ones don't:
My blog in the reader

Do I need to add something extra to my posts or change a newly added setting?

Thanks in advance for the help!

I just used the sticky option for the last posts I had problems to make appear on top, regarding their publishing date..
thanks anyway
