I created a blog page in my WP website, but the word BLOG doesn't show in the menu. It shows on the list of pages. When I preview, it shows as a page. I copied the URL and linked it to a mailer I am sending out, and the hyperlink connects from the mailed to the website, it just doesn't show the page name in the menu. ??? Does anyone know how to fix this?

Also, I tried to nest some pages under the parent page ABOUT, but it doesn't view like this on the site. When I QUICK EDIT the sub-pages, they show ABOUT as the parent, but they do not appear like that on the website. What am I doing wrong?

And by the way, while WP is improving the posts list, it would be helpful to have a filter/tab at the top for Asides, like the current tabs for Sticky and Drafts.

Have just noticed a change in the way Asides are handled in our list of posts. Yes, they are now easier to pick out with the little symbols on the left side. However, in both quick edit and bulk edit, there is no longer a setting for changing them from Asides to Standard posts. With The Morning After theme, this change is the only way I've found to move old Asides off my front page. My only option now is to edit each Aside individually. Hope this is just an oversight by WP.

I have a category with 20 posts, if i quick edit and change the name will all the posts category name change as well.

I see that you are using Windows XP and IE 7 - can you please try using a different browser to see if that helps? IE7 doesn't work very well with most of the newer things we are using on WordPress.com

The problem is there without using the compatibility mode.
The problems started when the latest set of "improvements" was roled out during the last couple of days.

If you are using an IE9 browser in compatibility mode that makes it render as IE7 and IE7 is not supported. Have you disabled that? For me the problem started all of a sudden.
I have latest IE update, same as when I posted last time, and everything just started changing during the last 24 hourse. It started with a small button appearing that you had to click on to be able to answer comments, and then the "improvements" just hailed in and the site stoped working.

Both my computers (previously working fine when posting) is now blocked out from editing tags, photos (uploads too), links (and probably a lot more).
Problem is also the same with Firefox. So, I assume the problem is on your side after the "improvements".

I'm on a PC using IE8, FF15.0.1 and Chrome 22 and I don't have any issues at all. So can you please tell me why you assume the issue is on this end of things, please? What indications do you have that your issue is not a connectivity issue or browser related issue?

(1) How you are connecting to the internet and to WordPress.com?
The way you connect to the internet (mobile, satellite, DSL, dial-up) and to your blog, and how many proxy server jumps etc. it takes to connect can cause problems. There maybe be problems with your ISP and/or with the proxy servers. Also note that the main dashboard isn’t designed to work with touch devices through the tablet and smartphone browsers.

(2) Are you using the secure https:// login?

(3) Exactly which browser and version of it are you using. If you aren’t sure click here to find out > http://whatsmyuseragent.com/

Have you done any troubleshooting? Below are the troubleshooting steps we take whenever any issues like this arise and undertaking them will provide valuable feedback information for Staff:

a. clearing your browser cache and cookies > http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050

b. Using the browser with all extensions or add-ons disabled

c. updating the browser to the latest stable version (not a buggy BETA browser version) http://browsehappy.com/

d. Confirming third party cookies is enabled on the browser http://support.google.com/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=61416

e. Confirming JavaScript is enabled http://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=12654

f. Confirming Flash is updated http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ and if required installing the latest version of Flash http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/

g. Resetting your router and modem and rebooting your computer
then logging in using the secure https:// log-in

Thanks. I did indeed mean a post, rather than a blog - my apologies for the confusion. When I look at Quick Edit, it shows my post as published, no password or privacy setting is ticked now and no sticky is ticked. I really hope the whole post still exists somewhere in the ether so I can find it again!

I have my posts set up to auto-share on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. This feature is working just fine but sometimes I like to do a "quick edit" and add tags from the Posts page. When I hit update, the post is automatically re-shared on my social sites. Is there a way to turn this "re-share" feature off? I don't want my friends feeds to be filled with old posts just because I'm updating the tags.

Hello:

I noticed the "Quick Edit" section includes fieldsets such as: Left column (Title, Slug, Date, Password, Private), Center column (Categories), and Right column (Tags, Allow Comments, Allow Pings, Status, and Make this post sticky). But I don't see an "Excerpt" field in the "Quick Edit" section for Posts.

Could you possibly implement this "Excerpt" field somewhere in the "Quick Edit" section for Posts found under "[WordPress.com User here].wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php" webpage; so I could "Bulk Edit" the "Excerpt" field here instead of updating each post under (div id="postexcerpt" class="postbox") found on the "[WordPress.com User here].wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=[Post ID here]&action=edit" webpage?

macmanx: Did you read ANY of what I wrote above in my original report and then my reply to timethief? Or are you writing that suggestion as some kind of sick joke? If you are unable to respond to the issue yourself, then who wrote your reply, and why are you here? I have 12 years of experience on the Internet. Clearing the cache is NOT the one magical solution to all problems on the Internet, except in the fantasy world some people live in, and so it is what they suggest when they have no clue what the real cause of a problem could be. Further, it doesn't matter what my browser is. Fact is, it is the same browser when there wasn't a problem with WordPress. Nothing changed on my end when the problem began with WordPress, so nothing on my end could have caused the problem. What happened at WordPress between the few hours between one posting when everything worked well, and the next posting when I could no longer create Tags and Links, and when I could no longer access Quick Edit? Anyway, the problem hasn't been resolved this time like it was earlier this month when the problem only lasted for 6 hours one day. I've decided this morning to shut down all of my WordPress blogs and return to Blogger - not as fancy as WordPress for design, but at least I never had any problems with Blogger. So after this posting here, I'll no longer be following this forum thread. It was a waste of time to come here. I condemn WordPress for not having any real Support.

Have you tried clearing your browser's cache when it happens?
