Hi,

My question pertains to thenextmiles.wordpress.com It is a travel blog that provides travel tips, stories and material for discussion about India. The blog as a whole is not intended to be mature-rated. I recently came across a porn movie theatre in Delhi and would like to post about it, with a title along the lines of "The Flabbergasting Moment You Encounter a Porn Movie Theatre in Delhi, India".

Here are my questions?
1. Would a post that describes my finding and the complete lack of nudity in the "porn" movie cause my blog to be rated as mature? I do not want that since I like getting new visitors from the community features of WordPress.com such as Freshly Pressed.
2. In terms of SEO, can I expect the title of a post featuring words like "sex", "nudity", "porn", "adult" to cause Google and other search engines to categorize my blog as junk and fishing, or to stop displaying when people search general terms such as "India", "travel", etc.?

Thanks a bunch!

-Jonathan

Maybe I am mistaken but I thought only one Nero rating per computer was allowed by WordPress.

Only one rating per computer is allowed, but this is tracked via cookies. If someone wanted to "game" the system, they could use multiple browsers, or clear their cookies, or block cookies entirely. As with anything, if someone wants to misuse something, they'll find a way.

I can blacklist urls from making comments, but how is it done for the ratings alone?

You can't block them from rating, but if you block them from commenting, it might discourage them from playing their little game.

I really don't know who it was that was participating, anyway. How would I find that?

It's hard to tell for sure. Sometimes the offender makes their behavior clear through attitude of their comments.

Hi all,

I'm looking for some help with an idea I have.

I have a website that is basically a source where I link youtube videos for an organization. There are about 100 videos linked at the moment, and I use some basic tags to cross reference them.

What I'd really love to do is have a system where the videos are can be voted on by people viewing the site, and the votes generate an auto-updating "top 10" list which is viewable on the home screen. Is this do-able?

Right now the site is a "abaflkj.wordpress.com" site (not the actual url, just meaning its off the web templates, not installed on the server). Would I need to install it on the server and use a widget of some kind?

Cheers,
