Hi,
I have two mirror blogs with the same content in different languages. One of them (http://nailpolisharmy.wordpress.com) shows posts correctly in feed readers like google reader and the built-in wordpress reader. Posts on the other one (http://mynailpolisharmy.wordpress.com), however, do not show up on readers at all, or sometimes only after many days.
I searched for a solution but could not find any culprit, so thank you in advance if you can look into this.

I have some really wonderful readers who are faithful and who leave some really great comments on my blog, "American Liberal Times." Everyone of those people are just great and so supportive and kind in their comments and their responses to me and I am thrilled to be part of this great blogging community.

The question I have is, "Do only other bloggers read blogs at WordPress.com?"

When someone "Likes" one of my blog posts, I see this notice that says, "4 other bloggers liked this." Does that mean that only bloggers can read blogs at WordPress.com?

If that is so, it would be fine with me because I am so very happy to have been treated so cordially by the wonderful friends who do comment on my stuff but I was just wondering.

So thanks in advance for any input or information you might be able to give to me on this question and again, I am just loving being here with each and everyone of you wonderful folks.

Very truly yours,

Hi,

The concept (plothopping) of my blog is about thousands (or more) different writers from across the world who write 1 story together on plothopper.wordpress.com. (It would be very interesting to see what kind of story all these different nationalities create together and how the story evolves).

Therefor I wonder whether folllowing idea can be made possible by WordPress:

When a visitor (reader and potential writer) opens the blog on his screen, he must be able to see and thus read on the homepage the whole story. AND THEN, when he has read the story and the last few sentences, from where he will continue writing himself, he must be able to write a paragraph himself which will then be IMMEDIATELY be joined to the story, kind of pasted immediately at the bottom of the story. AND when a paragraph is then published, all readers who are on the blog at that time, maybe writing a paragraph themselves, can see the new sentence appear underneath, so they know the story has just been changed and they will have to come up with a fitting following sentence.

?Can WordPress make this possible?

Now I do it with comments and replying, but the idea I mentioned above would be a lot more interesting!

Thanks!

Gr. wizzpop

O I see, I would need to be writting of current affairs or what is buzzing, have a blog that is flashy or draws attention, and then I will be judged for my views and writting style. I understand now, and I don't see my fewer numbers improving because I am not going to do those things only to have traffic. I thought that this site and its freshly printed where for anyone that , well, freshly printed a post. Now that I see its a contest I am not interested. I will keep my WordPress account and simply post as I have always done.

Hi there, lessmedictated! Freshly Pressed is certainly not only for "serious authors" -- we look for posts that are interesting, well-written, and are likely to spark interesting conversations. For more on what we look for, check out this support document:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/freshly-pressed/

Tags are a useful way to help new readers find you (although don't over-tag -- using more than 15 will block you from the Reader). Visiting other blogs and engaging with their authors in the comments is a fantastic way to draw people to your site; it's really the best way to build up a readership. You can also head over to http://dailypost.wordpress.com, where we have daily writing prompts and challenges that introduce lots of bloggers to one another.

Happy blogging -- don't give up!

Can I ask how do I get to be added to "freshly pressed"? I look every other day for my posts, which I space out so that they will draw more readers as like you suggested, but I am never on Freshly pressed, is it for serious autors only? I do get a few readers every month but they search by way of word. I don't want to tag everyone of my posts with as many words as in the post just to get one or two readers a week. I might as well take my WordPress account and hide it... Thanks in advance

I just posted my first real live Blog and so far am finding WordPress to be a great service with a great program. I hope to set up a new, permanant domain after Xmas to place it on but have two questions in the meantime.
1: On my live Blog page there is a white rectangular area on the right side above the archive dates that seems to be asking me to write somethin it it. What is this for?
2: I've added my Blog's address and by-line into the sigs of all my e-mail addresses and are sending announcement to everyone I know, but what's the best way to find and/or generate interested readers in checking my Blog out for the first time in hopes they will return? I also plan on sending e-mail announcements for each new post to be made before the 15th of each month but there must be more I can do on my Blog site itself, and out on other internet sites and/or sources. Any help will be greatly appreaciated! Thanx in advance!

My manage my blogs home page (with Freshly Pressed, Stats, Readers etc) isn't working. Nothing on the page displays no matter how many times I try and click on the links or refresh the pages. I thought it might take a few days but I have waited for 3 days now and still nothing. I can't look at other blogs or find out anything about who is reading my blog etc. It is frustrating! Can anyone tell me why this might be and how I can fix it?

Thanks!

Our invitee checked the "follow" button on the black bar, but our blog does not appear under the reader tag as one he is following. IS it possible to follow a private blog in that way or do the readers need to rely on the email notification of a new post to view our blog?

I have noticed that my blog is being written by people across the world. But I don't know what posts they are reading. Is it possible to find out? For example, i have a small readership in the Phillipines - but I don't know why and I would love to know what it is about the blog that draws them to it!
