I made a link on the two words 'first post' to the first post because that was easy to do - I just linked to the first ever post, but a link on the two words: 'recent post' is harder as it constantly changes, I just wonder if there is a specific extension that can be placed at the end of the site's address which automatically takes you to the last post published? for example: http://pythonessandbee.wordpress.com/most-recent-post/

The posts on the main page are in reverse chronological order. Did you get this sorted out?

@slgoshinjutsu, you have all your posts set as sticky posts. Don't do that. Use the sticky option to feature or highlight a single post, or a few posts, but NOT all of them. Unstick all the others and they will return to normal order.

I'm not sure if this will help but i found that there is a editing option under Posts and specific posts in which you select "Quick Edit." If you unselect the "Sticky" option it removes that post as "featured." after removing all the "featured" or "sticky" options it should appear in order...

Waht I see is a theme with only one full image of the home page and I note that it does not have an excerpts feature. Have you tried going here > Settings > Reading and changing the setting to display only 1 post on the front page? Blog pages show at most 1 posts. That works on free themes.

If it doen't work then your theme is a premium theme and we Volunteers answering questions on this forum have no knowledge of how they are designed to operate. When you purchased your premium theme what came with that purchase was support directly from the theme designer in the Premium Theme Support Forum.
