This issue is not uncommon as Facebook frequently makes changes.

Note: RSS Grafitti http://www.facebook.com/RSS.Graffiti can be used for posting to Facebook walls if you prefer. RSS Graffiti periodically checks the RSS/Atom feeds that you specify and posts any new entries it finds to the Facebook Walls that you specify. You can get any feed written on any wall (Facebook Profiles, Fan Pages, Groups, Events and Application Profile Pages). In fact, multiple feeds to multiple walls. You choose the combination.

Please note that reconnecting Publicize with Facebook does not re-publicize missed posts, but it will work for future posts.

My blog isn't posting to my facebook page and it always has...why the change? I did go back and check my setting and it looks right. Also, would there be any other reason why my readership has dropped so much? I know I haven't been blogging as much, but the new one I wrote yesterday had hardly any views which is unusual...not that I have a ton of views anyway, but it was REALLY down. Thanks for your time! You are appreciated! Patty O

I have a website for my W.I. group on WordPress - http://www.crowlasludgvanwi.wordpress.com. I bought a domain name (not through WordPress) - http://www.crowlas-ludgvanwi.org.uk - and mapped that domain name to the site. So far so good. My problem is in publicising website content to Facebook. I can, in theory, publicise to Facebook. However, whenever I do the URL shows up on FB as my original wordpress.com one, not as the domain name I bought. This happens regardless of whether or not I'm logged in to WordPress. When I enter my new domain name in Facebook's Debugger, it says, "could not retrieve data from this URL." How can I get Facebook to accept content from http://www.crowlas-ludgvanwi.org.uk?

Hi there!

I checked things out and I show that your shortlinks for each post are different:

Oblivion post

http://wp.me/p3sTqk-p

Launch WP blog post

http://wp.me/p3sTqk-g

Please note that while the shortlinks are similar, they end in two different letters - p and g respectively.

Currently you have Publicize enabled for your Twitter account - that means any new post will automatically be posted to your Twitter account when you publish it. No need to find shortlinks or post it to Twitter separately.

I hope that clarifies things! Let me know if you have any questions.

I use Publicize to link to Facebook. For some reason a few weeks ago, it stopped working. I have changed nothing, but it no longer goes to my page. I do it manually, then, since I do want to share with my FB friends, but I would really like to know what the problem is. Thanks!

1. Try flushing your FB cache but disconnect from FB first http://umairj.com/146/how-to-clear-facebook-shares-cache/

2. Try the full reconnect procedure again detailed at http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/#reconnecting-facebook including step 3 (removing the FB app), which is probably the most important step.

3. See also publicize troubleshooting http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/#troubleshooting

That's what I see as well when going directly to the link, but when I am sharing the link on facebook it appears like this:

memoirsofaninsanewoman
http://msfihaki.wordpress.com/
A glimpse inside the mind of crazy

that information (memoirsofaninsanewoman...etc) is the old information. I'm trying to figure out why it is still showing that information if my title and tag lines have been changed.
