Hi there!

I checked things out and I show that your shortlinks for each post are different:

Oblivion post

http://wp.me/p3sTqk-p

Launch WP blog post

http://wp.me/p3sTqk-g

Please note that while the shortlinks are similar, they end in two different letters - p and g respectively.

Currently you have Publicize enabled for your Twitter account - that means any new post will automatically be posted to your Twitter account when you publish it. No need to find shortlinks or post it to Twitter separately.

I hope that clarifies things! Let me know if you have any questions.

Hi TimeThief,

Thank you for your response but I figured out what the problem is and that has nothing to do with email address.

1) I sent a first publicise to twitter and all works fine. clicking on the short URL takes me back to my current WP page.

2) In another consecutive post, I created that published to twitter, that is where the problem begins. and the problem is in WP.
-- Here is what I did, I opened that WP post in editing mode. The permalent <--- reflects the full address fine . I clicked the button --> get shortlink <--- that short URL that pops up is the source of the problem. when I paste it in the browser, it takes me to my deleted address page.
--- under the dashboard settings I checked --> shortLINK <-- that shortlink when I paste it is correct. So WP has two areas of shortlink and they are not the same.

I still did my clearing browser and my reconnection. no avail. as I said, something is happening in WP.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

Oh man. Now it's publicizing every time I make an update. It's not supposed to do that right? The publicize boxes are greyed out and checked so I can't uncheck them :/

this is a problem, because my database service restructured how they pass variables, so the query is passed through the url now which has broken all of my links. I need to update the links, but I don't want to re-publicize the posts and overwhelm the sites.

The posts aren't generic either, they posted as I wanted, FB included the title and a brief intro of the first few lines of the blog post, and the tweets included the hashtags and @'s.
